But Honestly Though

buthonestlythough

"But Honestly Though" - The honest conversations women are starving for. This is the podcast for women who are done with surface-level conversation. Two Spinal Flow practitioners, Makayla and Stacey, talk honestly about stress, motherhood, identity, burnout, the invisible load women carry every day, and of course Spinal Flow. Because when life piles up, your spine keeps score. Blockages build along the spine and interrupt how your whole system communicates, and suddenly it's not just your back; it's your sleep, your mood, your marriage, your memory of who you used to be. Educational, personal, funny and real. No pretending, no perfect answers, just the honest version. Episode 2: What Survival Mode Does to Your Body

In this episode, Makayla and Stacey discuss how many women unknowingly live in survival mode, experiencing constant tiredness, anxiety, brain fog, pain, poor sleep and digestive issues. They explain how chronic stress affects hormones, breathing and spinal flow, and why these symptoms are often normalised. They share practical insights - like listening to bodily signals, closing stress loops, adjusting habits (caffeine, breathing, movement) and seeking appropriate help - to begin shifting from surviving to thriving. Episode 1: Remembering Home

Welcome to But Honestly Though, the podcast for women who are done with the surface-level conversation. In this first episode, we properly introduce ourselves. Makayla is a Spinal Flow practitioner and founder of Metanoia Spinal Flow on the Darling Downs. Stacey is the founder of Embrace Spinal Flow and a Spinal Flow practitioner on the Sunshine Coast. We're girlfriends, colleagues, and two women who found Spinal Flow through our own healing journeys long before it became our work. We share how each of us found Spinal Flow, what it changed, and why it became more than a technique to us. And we begin the conversation this whole podcast is built on: stress. Not the buzzword version, but what actually happens when a woman carries years of it. Stress doesn't just live in your head. It creates blockages along the spine that interrupt how your whole body communicates with itself, and it shows up in your sleep, your patience, your relationships, your sense of who you are. Remembering Home is about exactly that: finding your way back to your own body. In this episode: Who we are and how we found each other Our own experiences of discovering Spinal Flow and what it means to us What stress really is and where it lives in the body Why blockages in the spine affect far more than your back What "remembering home" means when home is your own body If this episode resonated, send it to a friend who needs it.
