Ep. 118 - Brewery Special feat. Ahnapee Brewing Company

    Welcome to Buzzed with Brian!
Brian enjoyed another successful year of Pour Another Round’s Outdoor Winter Beer Fest in Green Bay, WI. The festival was bustling with over 20 breweries this year, one of which was Ahnapee Brewing Company. Naturally, Brian brought the gear up with him again and was able to have Nick Calaway, Founder/Owner, of Ahnapee join him for a recording. Ahnapee started a decade ago out on the shores of Lake Michigan in Algoma, WI. Nick now boasts a second taproom just north of Green Bay. Nick tells the story of his craft and where the journey of creating/owning this business has taken him. Sit back, relax, and raise a beer to Nick for coming on the show!

Love Beer, listen here!!!

I have been listening to this podcast for about a year now and enjoy every episode. Brian does a great job of selecting not only local beers and breweries but has shared some from his travels too. In addition, several episodes cover beer history. This is a podcast I look forward to every week. Brian is also very responsive to listener questions and I love the addition in the notes of the beers tastes. This allows me to seek out these beers and try them too. Cheers Beers!!!

Like beer? Just want to know more about it? Listen to this podcast!

Like the description says, this podcast will give you a little bit of the history of the style and/or a brewery, tasting notes, usually a rating of the beer, and lots of other good information. If you are trying to expand your knowledge about beer styles, or if you are trying to find some thing you might like in the world of craft beer this podcast is for you. There is some thing here for a rookie, as well as a cicerone. it is presented in a very professionally done format without extraneous material. The focus in the first year has been primarily Beers found in Wisconsin and Minnesota, but has also included other areas of the country. I would expect he will continue to expand his reach. he is also very open to suggestions of new beers or breweries to try. If you have anything more than a very superficial or casual relationship with beer, this podcast is for you! I highly recommend this!

Cheers!

Just listened to the Radler episode… and it was rad! 🚲🤙

Always a great history lesson and inspiration for new sips in the fridge - thanks Brian!
