Interview: Mysterious Synchronicity: A Powerful Story of Connection and Healing!

Discover a powerful story of mysterious synchronicity, grief, spiritual connection, and how being in the right place at the right time can bring unexpected healing. The world is full of mystery, magic, and sometimes mayhem.Every so often, something happens that makes us pause and wonder whether life is simply a series of random events—or whether there are moments when we find ourselves exactly where we are meant to be.In a recent conversation with Dr. Raymond Roberts, a pastor with more than 40 years of experience, author, and musician, he shared one such story. It involved a lightning strike, a small church in Virginia, a devastating family tragedy, and an extraordinary chain of events that placed him in a position to offer comfort when it was needed most. Was it coincidence? Synchronicity? Divine providence?Whatever name you give it, the story is a powerful reminder that our connections with other people can matter in ways we may not understand until much later. A Strange Beginning at Providence Presbyterian ChurchAs a young pastor, Dr. Raymond Roberts was invited to speak at Providence Presbyterian Church in southern Virginia.A friend drove him to the church, where the congregation gathered for dinner before the service. Dr. Roberts had previously spoken at a youth retreat for the local presbytery, which was how the church had learned about him.Everything seemed relatively ordinary—until the service was about to begin. The clerk of session stepped outside and called for the young men waiting beneath a large oak tree to come inside. At that exact moment, lightning struck the tree. The Power of Being in the Right Place at the Right TimeA series of seemingly unrelated events had brought him to that church. A lightning strike had marked the beginning of the evening. His friend had unexpectedly arranged for him to travel home with a grieving family. And that family turned out to be mourning a young man Dr. Roberts had recently known.Sometimes, this is how healing enters a difficult moment. Not through an explanation. Not through a perfect set of words. But through presence. Does Everything Happen for a Reason? Is every coincidence a sign? Dr. Roberts offered an important distinction. He does not believe that every tragedy is caused by God or that every event has a simple explanation. He does not believe, for example, that God caused Calvin's death. Life contains tragedy, loss, and events that can be impossible to understand. But Dr. Roberts does believe in the possibility of a redeeming presence. Synchronicity, Connection, and the Mystery of LifeThe story of Dr. Raymond Roberts and Calvin's family is ultimately a story about connection. It is about the mysterious intersections that occur in our lives. If you'd like to hear other episodes of the podcast that deal with magical synchronicity, being in the right place at the right time, or stories of spiritual connection, here are some offerings for you! Interview: Hannah Forest ~ Fairies, The Fae, Paranormal Encounters & Magic! (Whew!)

What happens when we open ourselves to the fae, nature spirits, flower essences, and the mystery of the natural world? Hannah Forest shares her experiences with synchronicity, spiritual encounters, and living in relationship with nature. There are some conversations that leave you thinking long after the microphone has been turned off.My conversation with Hannah Forest was one of those. Hannah is an intuitive naturopath, herbalist, and lover of the natural world. Her work explores the quiet, everyday practices that shape our health, our homes, and our relationship with nature. But what really drew me into our conversation was her relationship with the fae, nature spirits, flower essences, and the unseen world. And then there was the story about the ghost who touched her shoulder. The Synchronicity That Led Hannah to Her MentorWas it coincidence? Was it synchronicity? Was it simply a series of ordinary events that happened to line up?Hannah doesn't need to force an answer. That's part of the magic. The Time Hannah Felt a Spirit Touch Her ShoulderHannah says the experience was particularly striking because she doesn't consider herself someone who routinely sees or hears spirits. She doesn't describe herself as clairvoyant, nor does she regularly communicate with the dead. This was different. Why Stories About the Fae Still MatterThe idea of faeries can easily be dismissed as children's fantasy. But stories about fae and nature spirits have existed across cultures for centuries, often reflecting a deeper relationship between people and the landscapes they inhabit.Whether understood literally or symbolically, these stories can encourage us to treat the natural world as something more than a collection of resources. Final Thoughts: Open Your Heart to the MysteryMy conversation with Hannah Forest reminded me why stories about the mysterious and unseen continue to captivate us.They're not necessarily about proving that ghosts exist or convincing someone to believe in the fae. They're about wonder. They're about those strange moments when life seems to line up in ways we couldn't have planned. They're about the possibility that the world might be more mysterious, more alive, and more interconnected than we usually allow ourselves to imagine. Byte: Aaron Ryan ~ Two Near Death Experiences, Survival Miracles!

What happens when a lifelong storyteller refuses to stop creating—even when technology, doubt, and unexpected challenges threaten to change the landscape? For author, voice actor, musician, entrepreneur, and father Aaron Ryan, the answer is simple: keep creating, keep laughing, and keep moving forward. Aaron's story is a fascinating blend of science fiction, faith, creativity, artificial intelligence, family, and near-death experiences. From writing his first fictional book as a seven-year-old to building an extensive catalog of novels, from working as a professional voice actor to surviving two frightening brushes with death, his life has repeatedly brought him back to the same question: What are we here to create, and what happens when we take that calling seriously? The Seven-Year-Old Who Wanted to Write BooksAaron traces his writing life back to second grade. He was given a creative assignment by his teacher, Mrs. Walker, to write a fictional book. The result was a little story called The Electric Boy.It may have been a simple novella written by a seven-year-old, but something important happened through that assignment.Aaron discovered that he loved telling stories. Creativity as a Spiritual CallingThis idea runs through much of Aaron's philosophy. He believes that creativity is a gift from God.That belief profoundly influences how he thinks about authorship. To create something original is to participate in something larger than yourself. The $6 Swim That Almost Cost Aaron His LifeThe second story happened when Aaron was a teenager in Mazatlán, Mexico.A friend dared him to dive from a rock and swim out into the Pacific Ocean. The prize?20,000 pesos—which Aaron estimates was around six dollars at the time. There was a jellyfish warning.Aaron went anyway. Listen to this episode which includes so much more...Aaron's other narrow escape from Death, the birth of his two sons, and his encounter with Faith, with God & with the belief that something in this Universe wants him alive! To read up on Aaron and his coolness, here's his website! Here's his Insta as well! And don't forget his YouTube, where a lot of magic happens! And finally his BOOKS! Woot! Buy them here! After being fatally injured after being hit on the head by a fellow kid, David experienced Death and other dimensions. Judith Jenya: Peacebuilding, Healing & the Miracle of a Croatian Summer Camp!

The Power of Peace: How Judith Jenya Turned a Vision Into a Miracle for Children of War! What would you do if you saw the devastating effects of war on children and knew you had to help—even if you didn't yet know how?For Judith Jenya, the answer was simple: she started. A peace activist, author, artist, poet, and founder of the Global Children's Organization, Judith has spent her life creating spaces for healing, connection, and hope. Her work has reached children affected by conflict in places including Bosnia, Croatia, Northern Ireland, Los Angeles, and Northern New Mexico. She has also been nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize and recognized with numerous awards for her work in peacebuilding and healing. Seeing the Impact of War on ChildrenJudith traveled to Croatia and began visiting displaced-person centers, refugee camps, and orphanages. What she saw shocked her.She had witnessed poverty before. She had worked on humanitarian projects. But she had never seen the consequences of war so directly. The buildings were damaged. But, as Judith describes it, the people were damaged too. That realization shifted something inside her.She knew she had to find a way to help the children. The question was: How?The Unexpected Answer: A Summer Camp At an orphanage in Split, Croatia, Judith met a director who was openly frustrated with humanitarian organizations.People came through, he explained, took photographs, and left. When Judith asked him what children affected by the war most needed, his answer surprised her.A summer camp. A 500-Year-Old Monastery Became a Place of HealingThe camp was held in a 15th-century Franciscan monastery on a small island. The monastery had originally been built by monks from Venice. It sat beside a centuries-old olive grove. And remarkably, it had escaped the destruction of the war.It was almost as though the entire place had been waiting for them. When Life Changes Because You Say YesThere's a beautiful idea at the heart of Judith's story: you don't always know which decision is going to change the rest of your life.If you're interested in other stories of kindness, generosity and people changing the world, consider listening to these other episodes! Araceli Kopiloff talks about what it looks like to suffer tragic loss, and then orienting herself to lifting others up. An astonishing tale of selflessness and generosity, you can listen on Apple HERE, on Spotify HERE! Keeping in line with the idea of saying "yes," this episode with Rand Timmerman, is all about Rand being present to his brother and saying "yes" to supporting him while walking The Appalachian Trail. Rand has his own vision during that walk, that will fill you with wonder! Listen on Apple HERE, and Spotify HERE! Finally, Drew Ann Long has created "Caroline's Cart," and her miracle is her special needs daughter, Caroline.
