Americans Want Results, Not More Division - A Chat w/ BK Borough Pres, Antonio Reynoso

“Debate, but do not argue.Challenge, but do not force your opinions. To win an argument, but lose a friendship, is a loss.To lose an argument, but retain a friendship, is gain.”― Matshona Dhliwayo A Republican with an Independent Media Platform, Cafecito Break talks to a Democrat Progressive who is currently serving a second term as Brooklyn Borough President about key issues affecting New Yorkers. Antonio Reynoso, a Brooklyn Native is currently running for Congress. His main opponent is a Democratic Socialist with very little experience, who is not from NY, is a recent newcomer and someone who has been endorsed by Mayor Zohran Mamdani. New Yorkers can not afford to keep supporting inexperience and people who do not understand the culture of Brooklyn and New York City and the needs of the poor and working class…. Antonio Reynoso does. If you are a Democrat in Brooklyn… Make sure you show up to VOTE. The Democratic Primary is on June 23rd. Americans want results, not more division. We may not agree or see eye to eye on all the issues with Antonio Reynoso, but we need people like him, a family man who loves NY, and will always be willing to listen and debate with people who disagree with him. Can we focus and build on what unites us? Gracias Antonio! We appreciate you. Artemis II, NYC Council REJECTS MAYOR's Budget Plan, Is An Energy Lockdown Coming?

“You guys are talking to us because we’re in a spaceship really far from Earth, but you’re on a spaceship called Earth that was created to give us a place to live in the universe,” Glover said. “Maybe the distance we are from you makes you think what we’re doing is special, but we’re the same distance from you. And I’m trying to tell you — just trust me — you are special.” He then imparted a deeper message, saying: “In all of this emptiness — this is a whole bunch of nothing, this thing we call the universe — you have this oasis, this beautiful place that we get to exist together,” he said, referring to Earth. “I think, as we go into Easter Sunday, thinking about all the cultures all around the world, whether you celebrate it or not, whether you believe in God or not, this is an opportunity for us to remember where we are, who we are, and that we are the same thing, and that we’ve gotta get through this together.” Easter Message of Peace, Unity and Humanity from Astronaut Victor Glover The timing of the Artemis mission was suspicious to many… why on April fools? This is not the only big news that occurred on April 1st… The NYC Council delivered a HARSH reality check for our new Mayor with a rejection of his proposed budget plan. New Yorkers were surprised to see how members of the NYC Council from Right to Extreme Lefty united to SAY NO to the plan and offered ways to manage the current budget. The Mayor was not happy. (see comment section on Instagram here) Thank you NYC Council! It is refreshing to witness this kind of unification. In our latest podcast with Mark, Kozi and RA of Cafecito Break, we talk about the 10 Point Energy Lockdown Plan, The Artemis Mission and our questions around it. We also share some NYC news. CAFECITO REFLECTION We are living in unsettling times, but these times also offer us an opportunity to get laser focused on what we want and don’t want in our lives. This is why some folks are setting up new boundaries. Some folks are scheduling more time to share with loved ones. While others are keeping it more simple and saying, we need to LOVE more. We recommend adding something in your schedule each day that is just for you… even if it is only five minutes. Thank you for being here. Love and peace to you. Terrorism in NYC - The Makeshift Bomb That Thankfully Failed, A Father's Fight To Save His Daughter, Mamdani's Death Tax

Apologies for our untimely Cafecito Break absence. Life is life-ing for The Perez Sisters. Our mother has been in the hospital for weeks. She is now in recovery. Thank God. We feel grateful for every day God allows us to share time with a woman who despite having such a hard life, gave her children the best she could. She took care of us when we were babies and now is our turn. We intend to honor her and be as present as best we can. These past few weeks / years have been incredibly challenging. It is one thing to help support a loved one during a vulnerable time, it’s another thing to deal with the hospitals, the staff, the appointments, the miscommunication, catching mistakes, the constant battles for less medicine, learning to become an advocate, knowing when to push back, being ok with asking questions, and questioning why doctors are deciding to proceed with a patient’s care a certain way. At the end of the day, one must not forget that the hospitals while providing care, are indeed also running a business. There have been many times in our parents care journey where we felt certain processes, medications, procedures were pushed because it would make the hospital more money. Unfortunately, there are heartbreaking cases where families are shut out from key, life-changing decisions about their loved one’s care while the person is hospitalized—such as major treatment choices, end-of-life options, or discharge plans—even when the family wants to be involved. And this is why, we Kozi and RA began our weekly Monday 8pm livestream this week with this video… A Father’s Fight to Save His Daughter…. Custody vs. Hospital: Who Decides? Other Topics Covered: The Flu Vaccine - Did it do more harm than good? Terrorism in NYC - The Makeshift bomb That Thankfully Failed Mayor Mamdani’s Death Tax We also share mask mandate stories of the COVID past that still haunt us til this day and lastly, The Perez Sisters are celebrating their personal birthdays and also Cafecito Break’s We are celebrating 14 years of Cafecito Break!
