Podcrushed

Absolutely one of my favorite episodes! Anna killed her characters on You. I had to look up to see if she had a twin sister because I thought omg I didn’t know she had a twin. I loved Anna Camp before being on You. But I have an even bigger love for her now. And Penn you were amazing as always.

This is definitely weird but I started listening to this podcast because Penn is a perfect doppelgänger for my brother. They even share the same mannerisms, sense of humor, and gentleness. Unfortunately, my brother is more of a Joe than a Penn, so we have very little contact (I do NOT listen to his podcast). This show has become an odd source of comfort and healing for me, it remembers for me the kind and curious parts of my brother, and finds hope that we might end up on a path together again someday. I also just really love the thoughtfulness of this show, the depth of the questions and the incredible exchanges that come from them. Nava and Sophie are so funny and insightful. Penn does talk over them sometimes and it’s not that serious but I’m not letting a man off the hook for a single thing ever so I have to bring that up. He redeems himself (lol) by setting an overall wonderful example for masculinity. He speaks about his family, relationship, and fatherhood with great care and intention. I also appreciate the way he discusses his show “You” and his character Joe Goldberg. All of the hosts have such great chemistry and sincerity with each other and their guests, they seem to be great friends. This is such a sweet show :) Thanks guys!

came for penn and just fell in love with this pod. i love the questions relating to childhood. celebrity or not, we all had a first heartbreak and embarrassing teenage moments and it makes the guests seem so relatable. also, the guests are great! i don’t know who many of them are before listening and still very much enjoy them!

I don’t know how I stumbled upon Podcrushed, but I’m so warmly happy that I did. I think many came for Penn, but I didn’t know much about him. I ended up staying for Nava and Sophie, though. No hate to Penn, he’s lovely, but it’s such a refreshing and comforting thing to hear two intelligent women ask meaningful questions and give thoughtful prompts to the guests. Nava is so relatable in so much of her struggles and areas she finds peace. Sophie is a beacon of light and honesty. Both of them should narrate audiobooks and both *definitely* need to narrate guided meditations on YouTube. PLEASE!!🥰 Penn, you’re great too. My first crush was in 7th grade and I fell so hard for him, that when we broke up, I cried so hard I threw up. He was my first *real* kiss and to this day, I remember it as being a really nice first kiss. It wasn’t awkward or gross, it was sweet. An embarrassing moment from middle school was getting my period in class while wearing khaki overalls. I had no idea until someone I knew who wasn’t a close friend, took me aside in sixth period PE and told me. It must’ve been there all day. I remember feeling so vulnerable and exposed. To this day, I remember exactly how the shame felt in my cheeks. I wish I could hug 13 year old Abby.
