Owen talks about his plan leading up to it, we describe the day of and everything that led up to that moment, and then of course talk about how the actual proposal happened.     This week we’re back with both of us on the podcast again!! To start we chat about what we’ve been up to lately, how track season is going, and what our classes have been like. Then we read Philippians 4:13 and dive head-first into the real meaning of this verse compared to what we think it is. Owen gives some context about when Philippians was written and Natalie discusses the difference of the focus being on I V.S the focus being on Christ in the verse. Then we both read and talk about the verses around it and focus on what this verse really has to say about contentment. We hope you enjoy!

    Episode 31: Reese's Shapes, Girl Scout Cookie Soap, and The Hope of Easter

    Today we start the podcast by asking the question, what is better…regular Reese's or Reese's shapes. Then we jump into it with a recap of the Easter story, walking through some of the events that took place leading up to Jesus’ death. We talk about how Jesus and Barabbas represents Jesus talking our place, Peter’s denial not being the end of his story and the significance of the veil tearing. Then we talk about why Saturday would have been one of the hardest days for Jesus’s followers and the reminder of hope this gives us in our darkest situations. We end by talking about the hope that Sunday brings and why we believe the resurrection to be true. Happy Easter friends!!

    Episode 30: Run With Endurance

    This week on the podcast we are joined by Caden Nordberg to talk about all things running and faith! Caden shares a little bit about his own story with running and his journey of faith and how the two have intertwined. We do a deep dive on a few verses in the Bible and talk about how endurance in our faith is similar in so many ways in endurance through running. We also talk about how suffering for our faith can actually make us stronger on the other side and how the things we're working towards in our life should be eternal things and not things of this world. We end by talking about how we can use the abilities and interests that God has given us as a way of glorifying him.

    Episode 29: Knowing, Trusting, and Waiting on the Lord

    This week on the podcast we are joined by our first guest of season 2, Tyler Monsen! Tyler and Owen tell the funny story of the first time they talked to each other, and it’s a good reminder in why first impressions aren’t always then most accurate. From there Tyler shares why Psalm 130:5-6 is one of his favorite verses and what it teaches us about waiting on the Lord. We talk about how remembering the promises of God encourages us to wait on his timing and how we can have confidence through waiting that God will do what he says he will. We also talk about how being grateful for the season that we’re in right now can change our perspective and how we can use our current position to prepare for what God has in store for us. Throughout the episode we talk about so many different encouraging verses that can give us hope while we are waiting on the Lord. Enjoy!
