    The Canada Basketball ICON, Jay Triano, pulls up on Canada Hoops ! Jay sits down with us to share his incredible basketball story thus far. Jay reflects on his 1st season as an assistant coach with the Sacramento Kings; and Jay tells us how he decided to write his book : Open Look: Canadian Basketball and Me.
    Jay tells Matty about growing up in the game of basketball in Tillsonburg and Niagara Falls, Ontario. Jay remembers loving the Canadian National Team at an early age and that passion for Canada Basketball eventually leads Jay to play basketball at Simon Fraser University in Vancouver, BC. Jay tells us about his time at SFU; especially his close friendship with the Canadian hero Terry Fox.
    Jay takes us through his pro career as a player and then eventually how he started as a coach at his alma mater SFU. Jay got his NBA start with the Vancouver Grizzlies before starting to coach with the Toronto Raptors. In Toronto Jay would eventually  become the 1st Canadian born Head Coach when he was named Head Coach of the Raptors. Jay is now into his 27th year in the NBA where he is always elevating the Canadian NBA profile.
    Jay tells us about the Canadian presence throughout the NBA from coaches to players and why he loves seeing everyone from Canada throughout the NBA Season.

    Jay has had a presence throughout Canada Basketball for decades. Jay tells Matty what representing Canada means to him and gives us some great memories from his time with the National Team as both a player and a coach.  Jay reflects on the iconic 2000 Sydney Olympics team and coaching Steve Nash, Rowan Barrett, and the rest of the squad. Jay tells us about coaching Jamal Murray at a young age and the attributes that make Jamal such a great player.
    Jay is literally a living historian when it comes to Canada Basketball. And you know Jay gives us a great Top 5 of all time for Canada Basketball. It was a true honour to have Jay join us on Canada Hoops Podcast.

    Coach Scott Morrison, PEI's finest, pulls up on Canada Hoops! Scott sits down with your boy Matty to share his incredible basketball career and story thus far. Scott tells us how his love of basketball began as he watched his Dad embark on a legendary career as well as the Head Coach of the UPEI Panthers. Scott shares memories of being around his Dads' teams and starting his basketball journey at Morrell High School. Scott played at UPEI and became the schools all time leader in assists and 3 point field goals made. Scott also holds the record for all time 3 pointers made for the AUS Conference in USports Mens Basketball.
    Scott touches on his brief pro career as a player before his incredible coaching career begins. Scott talks about working for Coach Carolyn Savoy to get his coaching start before he embarks on a coaching path that would see go from Dalhousie University, Lakehead University and then down to the Maine Redclaws of the D-League to start coaching at the professional level. From Maine Scott finds himself on the bench for the BOSTON CELTICS as an assistant coach under Head Coach Brad Stevens.
    Scott reflects back on his time with the Celtics and shares some great stories from his time with the green and white.
    Scott headed to Perth, Australia to become the Head Coach for the Perth Wildcats in the NBL before coming back to North America to be the Head Coach for the Salt Lake City Stars in the G-League (with the Utah Jazz).
    And you know Scott gives us some great conversation and memories thus far from his time with Canada Basketball. Plus, you don't want to miss Scotts' Top 5/Favourite 5 of all time for Canada Basketball.

David fills us in on life for he and his family in East Lansing, Michigan, and David then takes us into his time in the game of basketball. Dave tells us about growing up in Brampton, loving soccer at early age before finding basketball. David talks about growing his game at Notre Dame High School, getting exposure and recruitment for NCAA Division 1 basketball; and then ultimately making the decision to attend and play at Michigan State University. David speaks fondly about his time at Michigan State: winning a National Championship alongside some great teammates and playing for legendary Head Coach Tom Izzo. David speaks on what it means to forever be a Spartan as he was the Director of Basketball Operations for 6 years for MSU after he retired.
    David talks about turning pro, getting a couple of NBA workouts before he took his game to the NBL in Australia; where he would be a 2 time NBL Champion.
    And you know we get into Davids' time with Canada Basketball. Dave tells us about playing for Canada, his friendships with teammates from Canada Basketball, the growth and level of talent in Canada right now: And David gives us his awesome old and new school Top 5/Favourite 5 of all time for Canada Basketball.

    DENHAM BROWN, Mr. 111 points in a single game, pulls up on Canada Hoops! Denham sits down with your boy Matty to share his legendary career and place in the game of basketball in Canada. D-Brown talks about his new coaching role at Oakville Prep and then takes us on an incredible ride as he shares how basketball came into his life. Denham talks about playing the game at an early age, looking up to his Aunt (who was a helluva ball player) and embarking on a journey that would find him as the # 1 player in Canada, winning MVP at Nike Nationals, playing in the Jordan Brand Classic, gracing the pages of SLAM Magazine; and of course dropping 111 points in his last game at West Hill.
    Denham tells us about his years as a UCONN Huskie as he put on for Toronto and all of Canada. At UCONN Denham would of course become a National Champion, score 1000 points in his NCAA career and D-Brown tells us about his memories of playing for the legendary coach Jim Calhoun.
    Denham talks about being drafted into the NBA by the Seattle Supersonics and tells us about the rest of his professional career.
    And of course you know we get into the Canada Basketball side with Denham. D-Brown talks about what it meant to play for Canada, his lifelong friendships and relationships with his teammates and more. Denham gives us his Top 5/Favourite 5 of all time for Canada Basketball which was incredible to hear as Denham is a player who is gets mentioned by his peers and other Canada Hoops guests as one of the best to ever do it.
