I’ve been looking for something to take my mind off of current events but still be thought-provoking and engaging. I’m so glad I found out about this podcast. It’s super funny, the questions and quiz formats are ingenious, and John Irons is a great host. I’ve been binge-listening for a week now. Thanks, Captain Gameshow!

Great concept to a show

This show blends humor, trivia, and creativity so well and keeps listeners smiling and engaged. Playing along with the contestants is the way to go with this podcast. We all need opportunities to challenge our brains-especially ones like this one that are so fun and entertaining!

John is such a creative host and the games are so much fun! I love to play along while listening and often get so caught up in the games and ignore my work. Not even a little bit sorry, this show is fantastic!

I really enjoy this gameshow, the host does a good job of keeping the different games and questions fresh and keeping everything moving while still having a good amount of funny banter with the guests. The questions are different than the usual trivia, many questions have themed answered like everything will rhyme with Khan and the contestants have to shout out the answer like Captian Kirk, or Movie titles with numbers in them with bonus points for giving the number in roman numerals. I like the variety of the show and look foward to seeing more unique games and fun questions going foward.

I like the random categories and song parodies! I also like that the questions aren’t usually too hard- a lot of times it’s just about figuring out the right word or phrase based on the clue, not necessarily knowing actual trivia.
