We are joined by Dr. Delicia Haynes, a growing leader in the field of Direct Primary Care for a candid conversation about the various intersections of race and health care delivery. She walks us through her experience working to make care more accessible and affordable to people of every background through her direct primary care practice. She also illuminates her experience as a black female physician in the US, particularly in light of the ongoing demands for more equality from authorities across the nation.

    For our first interview we spoke with someone who should have been a health policy rockstar but chose to be a healer instead. Dr. Chris Cooper is one of the most thoughtful people we know and brings an unvarnished perspective on how primary care physicians ended up in the Kafkaesque grind of daily practice. And (amazingly) he doesn't hold anyone actor as intentionally malicious. We chat about the gulf between the best-intended transformation policy and the realities of daily life in practice. Also, what impact has COVID-19 had on care delivery?

    Episode 2! Loren & Joe focus on the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on primary care practices and primary care payment. It has been a month since we recorded the audio, but the situation remains largely the same. We just don't know what to expect with COVID-19.
