Carolina True Crime

i live in Los Angeles, so i’m not familiar with a lot of these cases. but it’s done so well, that i really enjoy listening to all the episodes. they do cover some of the bigger stories, like Heather Elvis and Britanee Drexel. regardless if it’s a small local story or a bigger story that went national, it’s all top notch journalism. it’s been a bit since they’ve posted an episode. so i don’t know if they’re continuing the podcast? hope they bring it back.

I was very interested in hearing about these stories. However, the audio bothered me. The interviewers sounded fine but those being interviewed were hard to hear. I work in a very loud plant & because of the audio I was constantly adjusting the volume. 😔

Guys! I cannot get a single bead on any of the towns and counties you’re talking about because you are mumbling the names. Example: Horry County? “Orr County”? (Angie Pipkin). WWT?! “Merl’s Inlet”? Where is this? It’s Murrells Inet! Slow down and annunciate please.

I found out about this podcast when I was watching tv on a myrtle beach trip through the local news. I downloaded and listened to every episode while driving back to North Carolina. It’s very good and there are some great stories. Sometimes the sound quality drops, so I hope you all will work on that, and sometimes I crave a little more depth and detail (example, a deep dive into the Heather Elvis story). The Velma barfield episodes were perfection! Please keep the stories coming! A few suggestions: pee wee gaskins, the 80th Avenue shooting (Renee Poole I think), the goose creek missing mom, the high school student murdered in Conway (many years ago), Alice Flagg, the grand coastal mall shooting from a few years ago. Plenty of fascinating stories out of the myrtle beach area! Keep the stories coming.
