Long after the original book went out of print, people would stumble on it in second-hand stores and get in touch with her. Interest has never really died down. The Phillip Island Murder was featured on an episode of Sensing Murder in 2005, and then became Case 80: Beth Barnard on Casefile in 2018. I’ve listened to many true crime podcasts over the last 10+ years. Casefile exceeds all of them. The narration and storytelling is straightforward yet engaging and thorough. While I often find myself multitasking when listening to other podcasts, I’m laser focused when listening to Casefile episodes.

Basically I paid for premium so I didn’t have to wait each week for the second part of the story but now they are doing 3-4 part episodes and I don’t even get the full story and still have to wait weekly for a conclusion. And they have recently chosen really well known stories which I appreciate but I prefer to hear lesser known stories to bring awareness. Oh I also canceled the premiere. Not worth it. Just wait a month and you can listen to a whole story and just skip through the ads
