Moving on to Maturity

Sunday, March 8, 2026 – Pastor Justin delivers a message titled, “Moving on to Maturity,” based on Acts 2:42-47. In this message, he encourages us to emulate the early church in four key areas. As the early church was forming, Peter encourages them to continue in the 1. Apostle’s doctrines – which means studying together and growing in like faith. 2. Fellowship – meaning building community and living life together beyond just Sunday mornings. 3. Breaking bread – referring not only to sharing daily meals but also to honoring the Lord’s Table of communion and remembering Jesus' life, death, and resurrection. 4. The Anchor Behind the Veil

On Sunday, March 1, 2026, Pastor Justin delivered a message titled “The Anchor Behind the Veil.” He reminded us that life often brings trouble, with problems that can seem overwhelming and lead us to want to give up. Yet, God’s Word is clear and filled with promises He will keep: even amid life’s storms, if we anchor ourselves deep in Him and trust His mighty protection, we will not be defeated. Although the enemy may trap us, God's faithfulness remains sure, and we can rely on our Heavenly Father to help us in every circumstance. Our responsibility is to build our lives on the solid foundation of Jesus, rather than on the unstable sand of worldly security. Join us for worship and study.

Stop Riding the Fence

Sunday, February 22, 2026 – Pastor Justin is bringing a message titled “Stop Riding the Fence.” This is a very practical and challenging message for every believer today. Every person is susceptible to wandering and drifting if they aren’t mindful of how easily one can drop their spiritual guard and drift from what it means to live a holy life. From a practical perspective, nature will cause physical fences to weaken and even break down in places, allowing the animals protected by that fence to wander off and get into all kinds of dangerous situations. Likewise, the spiritual fences that guard our hearts can also weaken and break down in places we may not expect, and we, like a horse or a cow, can find ourselves in dangerous places because we didn’t mend the fences on a regular basis. Today’s message gives us good warnings and encourages us to stop riding the fence with one foot in the world and one foot in the church, and instead to mend the fence and plant both feet firmly in the church, seeking a holy and righteous life with Christ. If we understood that the fences God places around us are meant to protect us from a world bent on destroying us, we would live much better, more fulfilled lives. Worship and study with us.

Fasting: Discipleship DNA

Sunday, February 15, 2026 – Pastor Justin’s message today is “Fasting: Discipleship DNA.” Fasting may not be everyone’s favorite topic. Why? Because it requires something from us. We love experiencing the blessings of God — His peace, His provision, His presence. But are we positioning our hearts to receive all He wants to do in us? Fasting is not about earning God’s grace. Fasting is a response to that grace. It’s a way of quieting the noise of the world so we can hear God’s still, small voice more clearly. It’s choosing spiritual hunger over temporary comfort. The early church embraced fasting as part of their spiritual DNA — and through their obedience, God transformed communities and nations. As we enter the season of Lent, we invite you to prayerfully consider: What might God be asking you to lay down? What distraction could you fast from in order to seek Him more fully? Let’s believe together for a life-changing move of God in Charlevoix County — beginning at Center Point and reaching throughout our community. Join us as we worship, study, and commit to seeking the Lord with renewed focus.

Taking Rocks to a Knife Fight

Sunday, February 1, 2026 – Pastor Justin brings a message titled “Taking Rocks to a Knife Fight.” In it, he encourages us to embrace the power we have when we face spiritual battles in our lives. Too many Christians allow the enemy to dictate the nature of the fight rather than recognizing that the battle has already been won by Christ’s death and resurrection. In addition to the salvation delivered by Jesus’ sacrifice, we have the promise of the enduring power of the Holy Spirit, poured out on Pentecost. We’re going to face battle after battle, but we have the promise of victory as we stand on the promises of God’s Word. Just as David defeated Goliath, the enemy of Israel, with a Holy Spirit-empowered sling and stone, we have the same Holy Spirit power available to be overcomers against the enemy of our soul. Living in God's Generosity

Sunday, January 25, 2026 – Pastor Justin brings a message titled “Living in God’s Generosity.” We find that God’s intention is for each of us to live not a life of fear and scarcity, but a life built for more of God’s abundance in every area of our lives. Our success in life is not in gaining everything we can, but in sharing and being generous with others of everything that God has been generous to us with. Generosity is the key to success. This generosity is so much more than simple finances; it includes things much more valuable. Time, talents, encouraging words, and so much more are the currency of God’s generosity. The simplicity of God’s word is clear and true. Through Jesus and everything He has given us, we will never outgive God as we give back to Him and others. Worship and study along with us.

Three Parts to Pastoral Leadership

This is a special morning at Center Point Church as we welcome Michigan Ministry Network Superintendent Aaron Hlavin, who will bring a powerful message titled, “Three Parts to Pastoral Leadership.” He will share how every pastor serves in three distinct yet interconnected spheres—public, private, and personal—each one requiring the wisdom, strength, and grace that only God provides. Following the message, we will joyfully celebrate the official installation of Pastor Justin and Kari Brown, along with their three children, as our new pastoral family. Come worship with us and dive into God’s Word as we honor this new beginning together!
