In the gospel of Luke, Jesus tells of a son, like many family squabbles, he’s fed up with his dad and living at home. So he asks his father for his inheritance. Before long, he squanders it recklessly and is forced to work as a hired hand for a pig farmer. He won at home, but did anyone really win? He wasn’t happy. His father wasn’t happy.
