Episode 105: Raising Kids Who Can Walk Into Any Room!

Send us Fan Mail Welcome to Chalkboard to Kitchen Table with Trish and Eileen!  In this episode, we're talking about what it really takes to raise kids who are confident, capable, and able to walk into any room with a strong sense of who they are. Confidence isn't about being the loudest person in the room or believing you're the best at everything. It's about trusting yourself, handling challenges, and knowing you can figure things out even when things don't go perfectly. We share practical ways parents can build that kind of confidence at home. That might look like letting your child order their own meal at a restaurant, encouraging them to introduce themselves to a new friend, giving them age-appropriate responsibilities around the house, or allowing them to solve small problems before stepping in to help. Those everyday moments teach kids that they're capable and can handle more than they realize. We also talk about the importance of praising effort instead of just results, allowing kids to experience failure without rescuing them, and modeling confidence in our own lives. Children learn as much from what they see as from what we tell them. If you've ever wondered how to raise kids who feel comfortable speaking up, trying new things, and walking into any room with confidence not because they're perfect, but because they believe in themselves ...this episode is full of practical ideas you can start using today. See you at the table!
