    Chamomile & Clove - An All Souls Podcast - Episode 113 - A Discovery of Witches TV 3x05 - Birks N' Socks

    Happiest Sunday, Clovers.

We're nearing the end of our coverage of A Discovery of Witches TV and this episode makes it clear that we're getting ready to tie up the plot and say our goodbyes. There's a lot to love here, but we're also facing the consequences of our limited time with our favorite characters and the adaptive choices we've made along the way. In today's episode, you'll hear our take on gaucho pants (hard pass), Alex Kingston (hell to the yes), and whether spellbinding a blood rage vampire makes any difference (or any sense).

    Happiest equinox, Clovers!

We hope that there are glimmers of spring (or fall) wherever you are and that today finds you safe, well, and full of joy.

So, HOLY ADAPTATION, BATMAN. We're delighted to talk today about the smart, courageous, and very satisfying changes the writers' room made for this episode and what that means for the end of our series. As usual, we're also talking about character arcs, Gallowglass's pectorals (we can't help it), and what it means when your protagonist loses the moral high ground.

BethHop766 ,

My favorite all souls podcast

I love this podcast, Cait and Jen are very smart, funny and so insightful. I had read the books several years before the tv show came out, and had not planned to reread them because I was looking at the tv show as its own thing. But after listening to the tv show episode discussions, I decided to start the books all again. I’m enjoying them so much more rereading them and feeling a part of a discussion (even though no one can hear my opinions because a) it’s a recording, and b) they were recorded many months ago!). I do listen to the other all souls podcasts, and do enjoy them, but I really like the 2 person format and the chemistry of C and J the best.

I’m rereading Shadow of Night

Thanks to your podcast, I’m reading and listening to this book again. It’s been my least favorite book of the trilogy, but thanks to you both I’m enjoying it more. I appreciate your humor. And thanks for mentioning the Madeline Miller books!

Twin Pregnancy

Love your take on the books. I enjoy listening to people who may or may not have a different opinion than mine, as well as not agree with everything in the book. It makes for great listening and conversation. Speaking of disagreeing, I was listening to the podcast 56 and you were talking about being pregnant with twins and how it was implausible to be upright at 5-6 months pregnant with twins. I gave birth to twin and never once was on bed rest and was up and moving until the day they came at 37 weeks. Not all peeps who have multiples need to be in the bed. Again I enjoy your podcast. 😉
