Dear James Kennison, I have been a fan of That Story Show for about 2 years. I absolutely love every podcast that you put out, and I am always looking forward to new episodes. This book is pure genius; I listened to it when I was 13 and I still love it as I am listening to it again as a 15 year old. I absolutely love the protagonist’s sense of humor and good natured personality; I definitely can see yourself and your own amazing personality through Joses. I am amazed with the light hearted yet surprisingly deep tone, and also with the awesomely written story. If I could give this 5 billion stars I would! So just know that you are doing a great job with all your podcasts and with this story. Rock on man! PS I love your reference to John Steinclauber! PPS you can read this on That Story Show if you like, it would make my day

Thoroughly enjoyable, fun, down to earth, and a great message. I love that his mom is a single mom, dealing with a seriously hard thing (his dad leaving). I think it gave my 9 yo son a feeling that he isn’t alone in his own, similar circumstance. I found it encouraging, and the story was absolutely wonderful. Can’t recommend it enough! You won’t be sorry you listened.

Please sell this story in the bookstores! I’m an adult and I loved the story and listening to James read it! I, too, was on the edge of my seat. James, you are a winner!
