Brian, Blake, and Richard are back for Episode 586 of the Chasing Tone Podcast - New Guitar Day, Reverse Headstocks, and the End of Creativity? The developers of Fortnite have collaborated with a big name act and the guys explore the idea behind it. The CEO of Spotify changed role this week and the guys wonder if it is because of their controversial AI music strategy of recent times. Richard makes stupid statements and thinks about the implications of pay-as-you-play instruments which leads back to a certain pedal.  Synergy have announced a new JCM module developed in collaboration with Marshall and the guys take a brief but longing look at it. BOSS also released a new pitch shifting pedal and it has caught the guys attention and there is a new 250 pre-amp pedal from DOD which Brian feels compelled to modify... 583 - This one goes to eleven...and what do guitarists really want?

Brian, Blake, and Richard are back for Episode 583 of the Chasing Tone Podcast - This one goes to eleven...and what do guitarists really want? We start off with the only new story in town - Blake has managed to contribute to the new Spinal Tap movie and the guys naturally have to go into great detail about this monumental event. Richard immediately tries to derail the conversation and is put back in his box by the powers that be and there is more McFly based teasing. Do you remember the Line 6 Variax guitar? Richard laments the idea that promised so much but failed to deliver and wonders if it will be revisited with modern technology. Brian consumes some dubious substances and Richard asks stupid questions and tells us about his new toy. Brian has been cursing a famous friend's name as he has been trying to nail some new songs for one of his many bands. Meanwhile Bruce Dickinson sung something unusual and Richard and Blake discuss it before some terrible dad jokes are made.  Big Ear Pedals, 60 Cycle Hum, Pico Swello, Drone prison,  The Goosinator...it’s all in this week’s Chasing Tone! 582 - Brian is learning to play the guitar again, Blake has a new guitar, and we are all hypocrites

Brian, Blake, and Richard are back for Episode 582 of the Chasing Tone Podcast - Brian is learning to play the guitar again, Blake has a new guitar, and we are all hypocrites Brian has been stimulating some conversation on the Internet following his recent interview about digital products which got picked up and spun by a few magazine sources. The guys break down the question that caused all the kerfuffle including "that" American Vox and chat about the role of technology in the music world. Richard is confused by the kids and coins the term Whymenials whilst discussing digital vegans and Brian makes some fierce accusations including one that involves a mullet. Blake makes various camera based confessions and there are some worrying developments before Brian talks about his heavy gig schedule.  Blake has a new guitar, well kinda, and he tells us all about it during a nostalgic section that involves zero Englishpersons...until the scoundrel returns. There is some 90's country talk and the guys try to educate themselves on Roman numerals and fail. There is also some discussion of the Badinkadinks.   Kirkland coffee beans, Napster analogy, Dead Internet Theory, Captain Cheapshot strikes again, Grocery portals...it’s all in this week’s Chasing Tone! 581 - Brian's video with Rick Beato, Exploding tubes, and the BOSS PX-1

Brian, Blake, and Richard are back for Episode 581 of the Chasing Tone Podcast - Brian's video with Rick Beato, Exploding tubes, and the BOSS PX-1 Richard is feverish with excitement about the new Rick Beato interview with David Gilmour whereas Brian and Blake are almost completely nonplussed. This somehow becomes a discussion about pork chops before the guys look at some controversial comments from another ex-member of Pink Floyd.  Boss have released a new pedal, the PX-1, which is a 'plugin loader' pedal and the guys look into it and have some interesting views about why the Internet shouldn't be as mad as they are. Brian thinks it looks a bit like a LEGO pedal - but that may not be such a bad thing. Do you still use a Wah pedal? Brian sets forth the motion that nobody does any more.  Brian also managed to nearly set fire to his barn when one of his amps went supernova and he tell us all about it. Richard has a new pedal day with a vintage classic and the guys nerd out about op-amps. Finally Blake is allowed to talk about his new amp day and there is much rejoicing. Celtic mixups, Wampler hyperbole, AARP, Bob and the Cohorts, Voltage lies, Josh based correction...it’s all in this week’s Chasing Tone! 580 - The greatest guitar gear deal ever and is Brian working with the military?

Brian, Blake, and Richard are back for Episode 580 of the Chasing Tone Podcast - The greatest guitar gear deal ever and is Brian working with the military?   Blake is cursing at his air conditioning and Richard is wearing heavy metal t-shirts while Brian is in an indeterminate state of undress. Yes, it is business as normal here at Chasing Tone. Brian has an idea for an amp and the fellers may just be on to something.  Richard takes us through the un-boxing of his new drum Kit having completely forgotten he talked about elements of this last week because he is both old and an idiot but he has had an epiphany. What is the perfect ratio of amplifiers to guitars? Richard finds himself unusually short. Someone made a mistake and accidentally discounted a suite of plugins and the guys discuss consumer expectations and trying to get one over on the man. Somehow this involves some British folklore from the 1990s and the guys invent a dangerous new sport. Water cooled amplifiers, Hoover free flights, Quiche, Bad career advice, Vegetable wars, Eddie Vedder Tele, Subwoofer flatulence...it’s all in this week’s Chasing Tone!
