Ep 218 - Sales says: Wham! Adelaide says: Ouch!
This 80's band never toured to Adelaide. But Sales has compensated by talking about not one, not two, but THREE Wham! shows. As Crabb lapses in and out of consciousness, she manages to reminisce about Sinead O'Connor, and farewell her beautiful sister in law Anisa, friend of the show, who benefited in her last days from the palliative care team who are the joint charity partners of this live event. Local writers Robert Skinner and Walter Marsh feature, as well as Sales' new book which is a CRACKER. So much Chatter love in the room. You people really are the best.

The Vinnies Women’s Crisis Centre was established in 2017 to provide accommodation for women, children experiencing homelessness, and also accommodates pets. Many guests come to the centre due to domestic and family violence, and it provides a safe haven for decision-making and the opportunity to connect with other agencies.
Accommodating pets at the centre is a crucial part of a woman’s decision to leave an unsafe home, as often the fear of leaving a pet that could also be in harm’s way will prevent them from taking that step.
In almost 6 years of operation the Vinnies Women’s Crisis Centre has accommodated more than 5,500 women, children and pets.
More recently, with the rental crisis and shortage of affordable accommodation, guests are staying much longer as there is simply nowhere else for them to go.
As part of Vinnies’ work more broadly, they have been working with the sector to advocate for fairer rent laws and greater investment in social and affordable housing.
With the funds generously donated by Chatters at the last live event in Adelaide, children staying at the centre have been able to participate in the Ready Steady Go sports program during school holidays. For safety reasons, some children are unable to leave the centre, so the Ready Steady Go activities provide a much-needed release.
The Vinnies team is grateful for the support of Chat 10 Looks 3.

Ep 217 - STOP FIGHTING ON TRAINS WE KNOW WHAT HAPPENS!
Somehow, Sales and Crabb have BOTH seen the new Indiana Jones movie. They have thoughts. And those thoughts start out well (with Phoebe Waller-Bridge) but end up in an ageing male action hero morass featuring Tom Cruise, James Bond and the whole shitshow. The episode is rescued by Lizzo and a new podcast that's reducing Crabb to helpless hysterics.

Ep 216 - Here There Be Monsters
Is it okay to like a work of art created by a jerk? Crabb has been spoiling to discuss this with Sales for some time, and now she is brandishing a new book as an excuse. Also addressed: Anna Funder's new book. Cool things to do in Adelaide. Not addressed: Is it okay to admire the work of someone who would take her CELLO on holiday and make her HUMAN FRIEND sit in the back seat.

Customer Reviews
While I was missing Leigh
Like many people around Australia and around the world, I was crushed when Leigh Sales stepped down from 7.30 and I have always enjoyed seeing Annabel Crabb in anything on The ABC. I learned about “Chat 10 Looks 3” late in the game, reading an article about Leigh as she was wrapping up her last week at 7.30. Suffice it to say that the timing could not have been better. Sounds like both Leigh and Annabel have some great things coming up on The ABC in 2023. During these past few months, I have now listened to every single podcast and it’s been something I look forward to each and every time. As people have said many times, it’s felt like visiting with great friends and there have been many times when I have been on the trail waking my Labrador Retriever laughing aloud and both passers by and my beloved dog have looked at me like I was a little off and maybe I am. If that’s the case, please keep giving me access to “Chat 10 Looks 3”. My late Summer through Fall have been a little more upbeat, thanks to these two brilliant ladies!
Like hanging out with two funny friends
Love both hosts and their rapport. They cover a dizzying array of books, movies, tv shows, podcasts, etc. their book reviews drew me in—they are spot on.
Great stuff!
I am late to the party with this one - but as a result I am still only in early 2016 and have years to look forward to! I haven’t lived in Australia for 20 years so didn’t know of Annabel and Leigh but now feel like I know them. Love the fact Crabb is a Mitford fan (hurrah) and Sales - read “Little Life” immediately, it’s brilliant!
