EP 138 - The Girl Was Less Beautiful In The Book

EP 138 - The Girl Was Less Beautiful In The Book

Interspersed with prudent blasts of a popular brand of aerosol disinfectant, Crabb and Sales tackle the runaway hit TV version of Sally Rooney's Normal People. It has an "intimacy consultant"! And you'll need one when you read the sex scenes between George W and Laura Bush in The American Wife, which Crabb's only just heard about (typically) even though it was famous years ago. And Sales finally reads the book that Crabb consumed while driving through walnut groves in California, an incident about which she is till being unfairly teased.

Great stuff!

I am late to the party with this one - but as a result I am still only in early 2016 and have years to look forward to! I haven’t lived in Australia for 20 years so didn’t know of Annabel and Leigh but now feel like I know them. Love the fact Crabb is a Mitford fan (hurrah) and Sales - read “Little Life” immediately, it’s brilliant!

Amazing Chemistry

Not only is the conversation lively, the banter funny but also very informative and thought provoking. Both women offer great recommendations - book, galleries, TV, etc. My favourite drive time poddie.

Absolutely fabulous

Like Edie and Patsy, Ms Crabb and Ms Sales display a real, happy friendship which when combined with show tunes, baking recipes and insightful, intellectually robust discussion creates a totally brilliant podcast.

If you imagined that their TV personas were the limit of their personalities, think again. You will never watch the 7:30 Report again without having one if the joyous and enthusiastic renditions of "Good morning" echo in your mind.
