CheapShow is a comedy podcast all about getting the very best out of the worst! Be it Poundlands, Charity Shops, Car Boot Sales or Bargain Bins, hosts Paul Gannon & Eli Silverman poke around in the corners of the high streets and internet to find treasure in the trash. One week it could be a studio based show, the next, a live comedy event. It could even be a location report or a scripted adventure! A few things it is, however, is rude, crude, silly and drizzled in pop culture, nostalgia and plenty of verbal violence! It has guests, videos, songs, reviews, games and dares.     Paul is back from his week away in Los Angeles. It was a chance for him to actually unwind and enjoy himself, free from the burden of his podcast duties. However, he wasn’t completely “off the clock” as he managed to pick a few things up from his vacation for the podcast to nibble on and evaluate! In fact, you could say both Eli and Paul are in very chipper moods, despite one of them feeling under the weather and the other a little jetlagged. Over the course of the next hour, Eli will sample some very tasty, and much loved, mustard as well as some moreish snacks bought from the Little Tokyo part of LA. Paul also has a little taste test he wants to try, as he pits the American branded chocolate bars against their UK contemporaries! There’s a Kit Kat, some Rolos and a Snickers bar to compare to see which is actually better, the USA or UK version? Finally, Paul pits Eli to a Goodwill store sourced Price of Shite, with some items chosen to appeal to Eli’s passions. Everyone is feeling good this week, let’s see how long that lasts!     Following the shocking events of Episode 407, Paul has been in the care of our resident supernatural expert “Gareth”. It was Gareth who found him and exorcised the demon from his body, but Paul was badly shaken up by the experience. As a result, Paul has only got ONE HOUR to record this week’s podcast and it’s up to Eli to get his co-host through the next 60 minutes. In a slightly more unfocused episode that usual, Eli pulls out a range of sweet Polish mustards to taste test the living hell out of them. Thankfully, because of the live show, there are also big bags of crisps to sample and all four flavours are loosely based on the UK TV gameshow “Bullseye” branding! Will the snacks live up to the legacy of Bully and his darts based quiz? There is only one way to find out, and that’s to get their gobs all over them.     It’s that spooky time of the year again and Paul and Eli are celebrating Halloween a little earlier than usual! On this week’s episode, it’s going to get ghoulish with a range of spectre-adjacent gummies and fizzy pop to enjoy. With the release of the Beetlejuice sequel, a few brands have chipped in with their own special edition treats. Maynards have something called “Spooky Gums” for the Cheap Chaps to wrap their taste buds around and Fanta have a green Apple flavoured soda to sup! Do either celebrate the “ghost with the most” or will they both horrifically underwhelm? Oh! After weeks of fierce internet debate, CheapShow has finally gotten its hands on Heinz’s Monster Munch Pickled Onion flavoured Mayo. The results will not surprise anyone! A popular YouTuber suggested around about 40, but the Cheap Chaps aren’t convinced and decide to find out for themselves. So begins a near 9 mile journey right through the middle of London that will delight, confuse, upset and annoy them both. Beginning in the East at The Limehouse Basin, they’re going to travel West all the way to the Paddington end. How long will it take and how many bridges will there actually be? You’ll find out in this 2 hour epic episode. Along the way they’ll vent about joggers, marvel at the graffiti, reveal some history, tackle some Eli supplied snacks, share some personal stories and ONE of them will have a very unpleasant bathroom experience.     Due to circumstances beyond Paul & Eli’s control, they’re recording this week’s episode from inside the original House of Pickles… And Eli couldn’t be happier! To “celebrate” the Cheap Chaps are going back to basics with some good old fashioned content. To get things going, Eli has a red hot Sauce Report in more ways than one. He’s sourced two sauces from a nearby convenience store, which was handy, as its conveniently down the road from his place! Paul delivers another Page Turner segment with a book he’s been trying to get into the show for ages. As it transpires, this book got a bit more of a reputation following its appearance in a recent Ghostbusters movie! This publication promises a world of “Strange But True” stories guaranteed to confuse the podcast hosts.
