This is a awesome podcast and it’s a library a frequent often. I find it interesting about how they talk about stuff they do behind the scenes. It is also reminiscent of a book club. Overall amazing podcast, I highly recommend it especially if you love book clubs. I look forward to future episodes!

The intro to this podcast was so charming and inviting. Danae Henkel is clearly a devoted reader whose passion for libraries shines through. I love the idea of seeing the library through the eyes of a lifelong patron who now works behind the scenes. Danae and Anneka Ramirez have an easy rapport and their casual approach is exactly what I seek from a bookish podcast. I wanted to grab a cup of coffee and sit down with Danae, Anneka, and their guest Whitney, put my feet up, and join in the book chat. Looking forward to the rest of the season!

I know it’s only one episode so far, but I have to give a five star rating first, for the fact that I even listened to a full podcast episode, and it held my attention! I’m not a big podcast fan, hard for me to stay engaged in listening. I thoroughly enjoyed the conversation, though, especially starting at about 20 minutes and on. The banter is fantastic! I laughed, I pondered (fondly on books I re-read and why), I nodded in agreement (hardcovers do feel unfriendly, haha! A worn paperback feels like a big comfy couch by a fireplace on a chilly rainy day), and I took some notes on a few books that I might like to check out at some point. Job well done, Norfolk Public Library podcast team! I look forward to the next episode!
