Still one of the best around
This podcast is from one of my favorite news resources and still one of the best around. For anyone interested in the reproductive justice field, pro-choice or anti-abortion, PLEASE listen to this podcast. Episodes focus on individual abortion storytellers whose experiences are then contextaulized within the policy landscape by the host. I learned so much about the broader medical system by listening. The mini-series on reproductive injustice is also must-listen especially now in the context of forced sterilizations at the border. To understand our present, you have to understand the long history and this podcast is a great place to start. From what I remember, the regular seasons ended up fairly whitewashed though I know they tried to make an effort, but the miniseries focuses almost exclusively on Black women and other women of color and is vital listening.
Compelling journalism about an important issue
I stumbled upon Choice/less through an instagram ad and subsequently binge-listened to all of it over a couple days. Strongly recommend for anyone passionate about reproductive justice.
After a high school classmate shared this on facebook, I had a listen and I’m so glad Jen is putting this out there, as one of her Our Lady of Nazareth classmates myself. Catholic school brainwash is a serious problem that it took me many years to get over. This is so important!
