The Pigeon Art Project is led by UCLA Professor Aaron Blaisdell and his team of graduate and undergraduate students. Dr. Blaisdell is a comparative psychologist in the Department of Psychology, in the Behavioral Neuroscience area. He and his team study cognition in rats, pigeons, and people. In this episode, 505 and 507 discuss the origin of the Pigeon Art Project, which involves the study of digital art making by pigeons. The conversation goes deep and ranges far and wide, with interesting philosophical questions about the nature of art and the art of nature.
