    Episode #37 - Brian Zickefoose, President @ Valiant Group | USMA Grad | Army Ranger | Combat Veteran

    Brian graduated from West Point in summer of 2002 where he earned a B.S. in Civil Engineering, and he was commissioned as an Officer in the US Army. Brian served six and half years on Active Duty, and during his service, he successfully graduated from the U.S. Army Ranger School and the U.S. Army Airborne School. Brian deployed to Iraq in 2005, where he led a platoon of Soldiers in combat operations within Sadr City. In December of 2008, Brian transitioned from Active Duty to the U.S. Army Reserves and accepted a position as a Project Manager in Lancaster, PA. From 2009-2010. During this time, Brian served in the Contingency Response Unit based out of the United States Army Corps of Engineer HQ’s. In 2010, Brian deployed to Afghanistan with the United States Army Corps of Engineers where he was the resident engineer and led reconstruction efforts on Kandahar Air Base. In 2011, Brian started working for PPL Electric Utilities and he held multiple positions.  Brian founded Valiant Group LLC in 2017, an engineering and construction firm operating in the public and private markets, including Federal/State agencies and electrical utility clients. Brian is currently a Lieutenant Colonel in the U.S. Army Reserves where he is a graduate of Engineer Captains Advanced Course, Command General Staff College, U.S. Army Airborne School, and U.S. Army Ranger School. Additionally, Brian has earned the Bronze Star for actions in Iraq. We can't wait to hear Brian's story in Christ.

    Episode #35 - BG (ret) David Phillips, Executive Director @ Cru Military | U.S. Air Force Veteran

    Brigadier General David G. Phillips, Jr. retired, with 31 years service, from the Virginia Air National Guard and the Air National Guard of the United States in June of 2002. In his last assignment, the General served as the Deputy Director, Air National Guard (ANG) Forces, Headquarters Air Combat Command (ACC), Langley AFB, Virginia. This Directorate, ACC/CG, is responsible to the Commander of ACC and the Air Directorate of the National Guard Bureau (NGB), Washington, D.C., for developing, assessing, and coordinating headquarters plans, policies, programs and procedures affecting support of the ACC gained ANG forces. ACC/CG is further responsible for the functional management of the ANG Team Langley integrated staff program.  In 2010, David began serving with the military ministry of Cru, where he served as Ministry Advancement Director, responsible for ministry fundraising, marketing, brand management, and external communication until his appointment as the new Executive Director of Cru Military. General Phillips holds both Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Business Administration along with numerous Merit and Service awards from the U.S. Air Force and Virginia National Guard. He and his wife, Terilyn, have been married for 32 years and live in Yorktown, Virginia. They have five children and three grandchildren. We can't wait to hear David's story in Christ.
