    Send us a text The first study was about the “Spiritual Sacrifices” we offer up to God. The next study we did was about being obedient in or “Work” to God and receiving our crowns through obedience. We therefore must learn about turning our services outward to the Body of Christ. It is always best said that “we serve God before the people.” Never do “we serve the people before God.” The difference is our main point of focus. Often ministers can become too ‘people focused’ and forget the reason and person we are actually serving, and that is our Father God. Becoming overly people focused can lead to compromise and burn out. Yet, the God-centered minister will always be better equipped to love and serve the people in the proper manner.  SO, with that in mind, let’s look into the “Application” of our office in the Christian Priesthood.     Send us a text We are saved by grace- not of works. This is true. The question before us is: “how do we act after we have been saved?” Most Christians fail to separate the two concepts. They get stuck on “saved by grace,” or “saved by works.” Both are wrong and destitute of spiritual discernment. The answer is “Yes” and “Yes.” We are saved by grace not by works, yet now that we are saved, there is a calling to obey. We didn’t earn our salvation, yet now that it has been given, it comes with guidance. Failure to head the guidance is to reject the offer of salvation. Grace and works are intimately connected. You can never be good enough. That is why there is grace and mercy. Yet, you cannot remain with a heart of rebellion and call Jesus “Lord”. That is why there remains God’s way of doing things, also called the law. To say that you can have a relationship with God on your own terms and conditions, is to deny the Lordship of Jesus Christ. Another way to put it is this: You have been given a free ticket into the city of Heaven, and it didn’t cost you thing.     Send us a text With the great exchange created by our “Lord and Savior - Jesus the Christ”, and having replaced the entire religious paradigm with a more sure and pure relationship with God Almighty. In turn, creating a new priesthood of Christians to love and serve God. Being made up of all people from all over the earth; be it Jew or Gentile, Rich or Poor, Bond or Free. It matters not to YHWH. All those who believe that Jesus is the Son of God, and that He died for their sins as a perfect sinless sacrifice- they are the new priesthood of God. Over the next couple of studies, we are going to dig into how to harness our new positions in Christ.
