  1. MAR 4

Season 3, Episode 4: Interview with Kiersten White

Season 3, Episode 4 features a special author interview with New York Times bestselling and Bram Stoker Award–winning author Kiersten White. You heard us rave about Lucy Undying last season—now tune in as we chat about her upcoming release, The Fox & the Devil, out March 10. Along the way we also discuss Kiersten (fictionally!) killing her nephew, babies in incubators, and a few other delightfully chaotic detours. I know, we had a really good time. Our Book of the Week is The Trident and the Pearl by Sarah K. L. Wilson. Whenever a new mermaid book hits shelves, we’re reading it—because Angie would absolutely change her name to Ariel and grow fins if it were medically feasible. Unfortunately, this is not the story Sebastian was serenading us about, friends. Fortunately, Nikki and Angie were lucky enough to receive an early copy from Orbit Books, and let’s just say…we’re hoping Sarah types fast, because we are more than ready for the next installment in this series. Our Research Round-Up—where we break down key takeaways from NIH Rare Disease Day, focusing on updates and insights most relevant to patients and families—is temporarily delayed while we wait for additional information regarding the new gene therapies that were discussed. We want to make sure we’re sharing accurate and comprehensive information, so once those details are available, we’ll finish this segment and share it with all of you.
