    Coping with Potential Infertility in your 20's (the feelings, emotions & thoughts behind it all)

    hi friends! this episode is.......a mess. it's a hard topic for me to discuss so I didn't make any notes for it-- just spoke from my heart.     Appointment Fatigue (For when you're just tired of always being at the doctor)

    hi friends! today's episode is a real-time struggle that I've had as of lately. I've been going to so many appointments and it's just wearing me out. it's hard to keep up the energy and strength to advocate for yourself when you're constantly doing it and are unable to replenish that energy. for a long time I felt like all I was doing was going to appointments. sometimes I still feel that way, but I've found a few tips and tricks that lessen the weight of it all for me. I hope you're all able to take away something from this episode. most importantly, I hope what you take away is a deep understanding that you are worth the time and energy it takes to pour love into yourself. I know it's exhausting and sometimes we forget to take care of ourselves because of how demanding our chronic illnesses are. but you ARE worth it. xo, Cass

    IUD Insertion Under Anesthesia (The Pain, The Process, etc)

    hi friends!!!! today's episode is about my IUD insertion that I had under anesthesia at the hospital. I talk about how I brought the conversation up to my specialist, what her thoughts were, why it was best for me, what the pain was like...allllll the details! I know IUD insertion is a super scary experience for many, especially those with little to no pain management.     Attending University with Chronic Illness (Getting Accommodations, Living in a Dorm, Making Friends, etc)

    hi friends!!!!! welcome back to chronically speaking :) we have an extra episode this week, and it's one that was requested on my instagram poll-- attending university with chronic illness! we talk about how to make university work for YOU: getting accommodations coping with living in a dorm with complete strangers, how to make friends, communicating with profs about your needs, attending class...ALL the advice. university was difficult and such a struggle at times, but it was also the best 4 years of my life, and I would do it again in a heartbeat, even with the blood, sweat and tears that went into it. and if any of you are in school, or thinking about applying, or wondering if you'd be able to keep up with the requirements...I'm here to share my story with all of you & show you that success in university, while living with a chronic illness, IS possible. if that's a goal you have for yourself or a dream you want to accomplish, I want to be that living proof for you. you deserve the same opportunity as anyone else, and I hope my story can help you navigate that. if you have additional questions, you can always reach me @her_uterus on instagram and TikTok. now let's get that education chat on!!! xoxo, C

    hiiiii friends! welcome to the third episode of chronically speaking! in today's episode I'll dive into my diagnosis story, beginning from my first period, to my first diagnosis, to my Endo surgery + diagnosis, to where I am now. I hope you love the pod just as much as I love making it. in today's episode, we'll be discussing a question I got from a Q&A a few weeks ago: How do I manage my relationships while living with chronic illness? it's no secret that chronic illness impacts all areas of our lives, which includes our relationships. it can be hard to know how to approach the conversation, what to say, how to ask for support, what parts to share vs. keep private, etc. in this episode I'll touch on my experience with dating, friendships and family relationships and how chronic illness impacts them, as well as tips for maintaining these important connections in a way that supports your chronic illness.
