    Inside Annecy 2026: Taiwanese Animation Takes the Global Stage

    Join us this week on Cinematic Motif for an exclusive report from the 2026 Annecy International Animation Film Festival in France and explore Taiwan's presence there this year! In this episode, we explore Welcome to Dolly's House (歡迎來到朵莉之家), the only Taiwanese feature in the official selections, which premiered as the opening film of the Contrechamp competition. Listen to an interview with the creator Seven YCH (游智皓) about how he has come this far.  We also take you inside the Toon Up Taiwan pitching session co-hosted by TAICCA, the Bureau francais de Taipei, and GOBELINS Paris. We speak with lead trainer Claire Espagno, as well as the director, producer, and art designer behind the winning children's TV project, Hwa's Going On. Plus, we hear impressions from young professionals attending the festival through the Taiwan Education Ministry and Bureau francais de Taipei's Global Pathfinders programme.
