Citations Needed

An all around excellent source of a solid look at historical trends in media distortion, this show not only does the work to expose the mechanisms and tropes in the propaganda in which we’re immersed, but brings on great guests and shares rich bibliographies. I guess the name says it right there: Citations Needed — Nima and Adam open up all of their citations. This means that even when I disagree with their analysis, it’s clear how they got there, so, even if I don’t come around, it’s a great opportunity to learn more background. Also, their perspectives are often pretty unassailable, fwiw

Awesome reviews of recent trends in media. Feel like you’re being gaslit by powerful people? You probably are. Only complaint from me is I’d love a resources page somewhere with links to referenced articles. I know that would be more work, and all the info needed to find your sources is in the ep, but links would make it easier to go back and reference later. Thanks for all you’re doing!

Nina and Adam dig deeply into media treatment of numerous topics, providing historical context, and very specific and relevant examples of bias defending power and attempting to paralyze critical challenges. Their guests are very experienced and well-spoken. The perspectives are well-presented and defended, and you will hear insights totally absent from corporate media. Highly recommend.

Ive listened for years and learned a lot of good stuff but they just interviewed a guy on here who said "And to be clear, I do not endorse October 7th for anyone who might be listening.” And still let him talk and published it. Which means they dont like it when colonized people liberate themselves which defeats the whole ostensible purpose of the work they do. I really hope they repent and do a full ep on why Oct 7 was not only awesome but also holy and revolutionary, featuring only guests from gaza. If they did that i would happily subscribe on patreon 😁
