    copy/paste 174: music for showers

    Since moving to montreal, my life has changed pretty drastically. And with that change, as with any, old routines are discarded and new ones created. It's a gratifying process, one which allows you to re-evaluate why exactly you do the things you do. Recently, over the christmas holidays, I got a waterproof bluetooth speaker that I've been using a lot more than I expected. One of those uses is to bring it in the shower with me, something I never anticipated but have grown to truly love. It's an environment with new musical possibilities, and yet is so narrowly specific in mood. And so, for my first episode of copy/paste in my new home, I bring to you music for showers. Originally recorded live on n10.as radio in montreal.

    copy/paste 173: farewell for now

    my ***final mix*** of copy/paste hosted at the inimitable CiTR studios. This one is wild, weird, and fun. Everything dance music should be. It’s been a wonderful 4 years, and now it’s time to move on. BUT! copy/paste is not ending, we’ll take a brief hiatus during August and start back up again in my new home of Montreal in September. If you need some of that copy/paste vibe music in your life before then, the podcast has all 172 episodes ready and waiting to stream, and I hear they're pretty good. Farewell for now, Vancouver.

    whoaaaa we're coming full circle here on copy/paste... for my final guest episode of copy/paste from CiTR studios* I brought a CiTR legend back in, one who I met in my first year at CiTR and has left a significant mark on the station, djb aka dj bee aka brad winter! In this episode we catch up to what he's been doing (spoiler: his new collaborative music project, hexen, is the first track in the mix), and then blesses us with a 100% vinyl mix spanning genres, decades, and worldly locales.
