    As a new year begins, many of us feel the pull toward goals, plans, and resolutions. Taking time to evaluate our lives can be wise and good—but if we skip a crucial first step, even the best intentions can quickly become burdens rather than blessings. As we enter 2026, let us return to the foundation that gives real and lasting strength: the gospel. In the Book of Romans, chapter 1, we are reminded that the good news of who Jesus Christ is and what He has done is not something we outgrow or leave behind. It is the ground we stand on—the source of confident strength that roots us, steadies us, and carries us through every season of life. The gospel does what resolutions never can. It produces obedience that flows from joy rather than guilt. It gives us identity and belonging in Christ. And it saves us—past, present, and future—by grace through faith. Before we set goals for the year ahead, we pause to ask a deeper question: are we standing on the gospel? When that foundation is secure, everything else begins to fall into place.     24 Dec 2025: Christmas Eve

    On Christmas Eve, we celebrate more than a moment in history—we celebrate a victory. In this candlelight message, Pastor Mark proclaims the good news that light has entered the darkness, and darkness does not win. Drawing from the promise of hope foretold in Isaiah and fulfilled in Gospel of John, this sermon points us to Jesus as the true Light of the world—the One who stepped into our brokenness to rescue us from sin and bring us life. Though humanity has made astonishing advances in knowledge and technology, we remain unable to fix the human heart. We still need a Savior. Pastor Mark explains why Jesus had to be both fully God and fully human, how our sin separates us from God, and why Christ alone could live the perfect life we never could. In love, Jesus gave Himself as a substitute—taking the punishment we deserve and offering us the life we could never earn. As Jesus said, He “came not to be served but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many” (Mark 10:45). This message is an invitation: to step out of the darkness, to receive the freely given gift of salvation, and to carry the light of Christ into a world that desperately needs it. Christmas reminds us that God has done everything necessary for us to have life—and that is something worth remembering every day of the year.     21 Dec 2025: A Conquering Hope

    The world can feel unbearably dark—marked by sickness, injustice, and violence—and even our greatest advances can’t fix what’s broken. Where can true hope be found? We're continuing our Advent series, **The Dawn of Hope**, tracing God’s promises all the way back to Genesis. From Genesis 49, we see that the child born in Bethlehem is no ordinary baby. Jesus is the Lion of the tribe of Judah—a conquering King who reigns even now. This message explores how the long genealogies and ancient promises of Scripture reveal God’s faithfulness, grace, and ultimate victory. Through flawed people and unlikely stories, God faithfully kept His word, culminating in Jesus Christ—who crushed the serpent’s head at the cross and will one day fully eradicate evil. If you’re weary, discouraged, or wondering whether hope can truly endure in a broken world, remember that God has been writing a victory story all along—and He invites us to share in it by faith. Isaac receives God’s promises not because of his faithfulness, but because of someone else’s obedience.
