Ah, Corona!

It's impacting everyone worldwide and we're here to talk about it. We're a tiny fraction of the voices out there to discuss this but it's what we do and we felt compelled to share how it's impacting us and what we hope comes from it longterm. I hope to be able to listen back to this episode in 6 months and feel like COVID-19 brought American's together, restored the family dynamic inside our homes and really made us appreciate the lives we are so used to with packed grocery shelves and the freedom to pack as calendars as tight as possible... but for now, we slow down!

Twins teaching us about life

We sit down and talk to two of my FAVORITE humans, Hailey and Sophia and they give us insight on cliques in school, bullying and how kindness is the answer to it all. I adore these girls for who they are every single day but this day we were especially proud of them for getting out of their comfort zone. They were scared to sit down with us but we already can't wait to have them back. They were 10 when we recorded this but they have since had a birthday and are ELEVEN and wise beyond their years. She discusses openly both the ups and downs of being a military spouse and sheds light on the sacrifice an entire family makes for the military force we all get to benefit from. She talks her love of hair, her journey with Monat and the community of mom bosses she prides herself in being surrounded by. Has overthinking ever cost you a great social event? It almost cost us our brother's wedding!! Hear us discuss the weekend away and all the things we expected to go wrong that didn't. Turns out, our attitude and overthinking was the only problem at all. We also bring in Amanda, one of our best friends who moved to Cincinnati from Boston to take a chance on love! She's a ray of sunshine and loves to radiate positivity but also understands the struggle of anxiety and OCD.

Big Mean Anxiety Machine

Anxiety disorders can be difficult to manage. We all 3 have diagnosed anxiety disorders and have been treated and manage them differently. This is our journey to diagnoses and the foundation of why we think the way we do during our discussions throughout the podcast. When it comes to discussing our own journeys it was putting a lifetimes' worth of understanding ourselves into our own section, so bare with us as we tried to get the short version out there. We are in constant search of more understanding of ourselves, our self awareness and how to be better versions of ourselves while managing our anxiety instead of allowing our anxiety to manage us. Erica, Rikki, whatever the name, happiness is her game!

In this episode we meet Erica, our 17 year old niece who has been battling mental health since she became a teenager. Theres SO much more to unpack here than we could possibly do in one episode, which is why after recording this we thought she would be a great, younger, voice to add to our revolving co hosts. She makes us proud every single day as she battles her inner demons and somehow remains one of the silliest, outgoing teenagers we've ever known. You rock, kid! We're co-hosts to this little podcast baby, Clear As Mud! We are Jessica and Becca and we're sisters (in law) who found ourselves in the same family and it was just the start of our similarities. We realized we were wired alike and in a world where that seems impossible, we often catch ourselves diving into conversations about all things anxiety, motherhood, family, relationships, school, work, life and all those overwhelming concepts that are as clear as mud and do not come with an instruction manual.
