    The Ohio Valley Cloak & Dagger Company presents Cloak & Dagger On the Air, an anthology series that reimagines the Golden Age of Radio for the modern ear. Recorded before a live studio audience at the Weirton Area Museum & Cultural Center in Weirton, West Virginia, on Saturday, July 31, 2021, Cloak & Dagger On the Air: Hot and Bothered features three stories set in the middle of summer, when the human brain is overheated and their actions unpredictable. Up next is William Spier's 1945 adaptation of "August Heat," the classic 1910 short story by W.F. Harvey. Starring The Wayward Saints: Celesta Berga, Odessa Hores, Karissa Martin, and Jalen Mccrary.     C&D Presents: "That's Just the Way It Was"

    On Tuesday, May 31, 2022, The Ohio Valley Cloak & Dagger Company partnered with Oglebay Institute's Towngate Theatre and Elmhurst: The House of Friendship to present a special live audio drama, "That's Just the Way It Was," starring The Elmhurst Radio Players. Funded by the Creative Aging for Lifelong Learning Grant through Oglebay Institute, "That's Just the Way It Was" is based on stories from the lives of Elmhurst's residents and features a century's worth of experiences. During the course of the production, you'll hear tales of the Great Depression, the Flood of 1936, World War II, life in the 50s, and the origins behind such local milestones as the founding of Towngate Theatre and Wheeling Park High School. Featuring: Jessie Coleman, Charlene Goodwin, Jeanne Hicks, James Hossman, Shirley Milton, Penny Mourat, Bertha Sacco, Bettie Steele, Bea Stelmach, Kathryn Wallington, and Emily Wilson, with Pete Fernbaugh, Karissa Martin, and Tim Thompson. Sound Effects Artists: Karissa Martin and Judy McNabb. Accompanist: Rose Humway. Featuring Michael Lytle as himself, Rev. Ed Rudiger as our Community Guest Star, and The Wayward Saints: Rob DeSantis, Pete Fernbaugh, Noah Hilton, Odessa Hores, and Karissa Martin. Our score was composed and performed by Lakin Weaver, with sound management by Shayne Merideth and sound effects by The Holy Foley Molies (with an assist or two from YouTube). Starring The Wayward Saints: Bethany Fernbaugh, Noah Hilton, Karissa Martin, and Terri Perry, with Micah Underwood as Your Announcer. Score composed, arranged, and performed by Roberta Fedoush. Sound effects by The Holy Foley Molies, with atmospheric sound effects from the following YouTube channels: Asmr Vids, Seahouse Ambience, and We Are One Body Audio Theatre. The script used in this episode was transcribed for Generic Radio from the original broadcast, and the voice track was recorded via Zoom. Produced and directed by Pete Fernbaugh.
