Kevin Lack-Kelly - On The Frontline

The trade in wildlife is big business and global, but how much do you know about it? Chief Inspector Kevin Lacks-Kelly is Head of the UK's National Wildlife Crime Unit and is responsible for much of the UK's current policy on policing this area of crime, and for liaising with similar units internationally. Whilst wildlife crimes may seem insignificant compared to the perceived daily role of the police, they are often linked to other criminal activity and are the fourth biggest area of criminality by value. In this conversation Kevin talks about his journey from a council estate in Leeds, Yorkshire, to head up the UK's wildlife crime unit. It's a fascinating story with some surprising facts about wildlife crime.

Marsel van Oosten - Aesthetics in the Natural World

As owner of the biggest hotel group in Sri Lanka - Jetwing - and a key figure in the tourist industry, he has carried on his father's legacy and is now handing that on to the next generation.
