    Ep #43: BTS & Family | Seven Sons, Seven Families, One BTS

    Before they were BTS, they were seven sons from seven completely different families. And those families are part of the BTS story too. In this episode, Sharon and I are talking about the family stories the members themselves have chosen to share. The parents who supported uncertain dreams. The ones who worried. The sacrifices made along the way. Yoongi's emotional bow to his parents. Hobi and the story behind MAMA. Taehyung's father telling him it was okay to come home. And Jin simply wanting to become someone his mother could brag about. But then something else happened. Seven boys left their families, found one another...and became a family of their own. We talk about the six hyungs who helped shape Jungkook, how all seven grew up together, their families becoming connected, and the beautiful moment when all seven sets of parents showed up for Hobi's solo concert.     Ep #41: We Thought We Knew BTS | Then Came Chapter 2

    We thought we knew RM, Jin, SUGA, j-hope, Jimin, V and Jungkook. Then Chapter 2 happened. For the first time, we really got to see all seven step out on their own, make their own creative choices, explore completely different sounds and show us sides of themselves we hadn't necessarily seen within BTS. And there were definitely some surprises. 😂 In this episode, Sharon and I talk about the solo projects that surprised us, what the members may have discovered about themselves, and something we didn't expect at all: Seeing them apart actually made us understand BTS better. Because once you've heard seven individual artistic voices, you start to recognize just how much each one has always brought to the group. In this episode, we're looking beyond the success and talking about the quieter side of BTS's journey. The responsibility, the expectations, the loss of ordinary life, and the things fame and success don't magically make disappear.     SPECIAL: When ARMY Goes Too Far - RM, J-Hope, Chris Brown & the Black Ocean Debate

    RM and J-Hope went to the Usher and Chris Brown concert in Toronto. Photos surfaced. And ARMY had a LOT to say. Disappointed? Fair enough. Angry? Fair enough. Want to question their decision? Fair enough. But when talk turns to deliberately creating a black ocean at a future BTS concert, that's where you've lost us. In this special episode, we're sitting down while the controversy is still unfolding to talk about what actually happened, Chris Brown's history, the photos that sparked the backlash, and the reaction spreading through the fandom. We're not here to tell anyone how they should feel. We're not here to blindly defend BTS. And we're certainly not here to defend domestic violence. But we ARE asking some uncomfortable questions: Does attending someone's concert mean you endorse everything they've ever done? Does taking a photo with someone mean you share their values? Can we disagree with BTS without trying to punish them? And when does holding someone accountable cross the line into deliberately trying to hurt them? Because you don't have to agree with everything BTS does to be ARMY. But BTS doesn't have to agree with everything ARMY believes to be BTS. Grab your coffee. We need to talk about this one. ☕💜

    Ep #38 - Can You Afford to Be ARMY?

    Albums. Merch. Photocards. ARMY Bombs. Concert tickets. Travel. Being ARMY can get expensive FAST. And then you open social media and see someone else's wall of albums, shelves packed with merch, binders full of photocards, and videos from their third concert this year... while you're wondering whether you should really spend $40 on another album. So... can you still be a "real" ARMY if you can't afford all of it? Absolutely. This week, we're talking about the money side of being ARMY: FOMO, collecting, concerts, comparing ourselves to other fans, figuring out what's actually worth spending money on, and finding ways to enjoy BTS without blowing the budget. And apparently, we had plenty to say. 😂 We ended up talking about the upcoming Toronto show, everything happening around the city, how badly we wish we could be there for all of it, and whatever else popped into our heads along the way. Basically, we fangirled. A lot. This one feels a little different from our usual episodes, but maybe that's the fun of it.
