    43: Advent - with Corella Roberts

    It feels a little early to be talking about Advent to be honest, but we want to give you some resources and suggestions in time for you to choose what you want to use for Advent, so we invited Corella Roberts back to talk more about it. Corella Roberts makes her home in Northern Thailand where she and her husband partner with an international school to "Serve the Servants." She has two incredible children already and a third one on the way via adoption. Their first missionary teaching assignment landed them in the remote bush of Alaska, which you can read about in her book, Colliding with the Call. From tundra to tropics, her life of following Jesus has been nothing less than story-worthy, and she loves using her experiences to encourage others to connect deeply with God at corellaroberts.com.     We are excited to introduce you to Rachel Marie Kang. Rachel is the author of Let There Be Art: The Pleasure and Purpose of Unleashing the Creativity within You, which releases October 11th.   Robert had the pleasure of talking with her about the book, the creative process and how we can participate in art, whether we consider ourselves artists, creatives, writers, or even none of those things. This book is a wonderful addition to your fall reading. It will draw you closer to God, while also giving you permission to participate in beauty and in creation in new ways. Rachel is a New York native, born and raised just outside New York City. She is a writer of poems, prose, and other pieces, and she is the founder of Fallow Ink. A mixed woman of African American, Native American (Ramapough Lenape Nation), Irish, and Dutch descent, she is a graduate of Nyack College with a Bachelor of Arts in English with Creative Writing and a minor in Bible. Her writing has been featured by Christianity Today, Charlotte Magazine, and (in)courage. Rachel lives and writes just outside Charlotte, North Carolina, with her husband and two children.
