    Our Nation Needs to Hear this Message from Martin Luther | ep. 17

    In this episode, I read through a small excerpt from a Martin Luther Christmas sermon and look at how desperately our modern American culture needs to hear this message. I have provided the excerpt below: "He is the sole redeemer of man from the thralldome of sinand the gates of death. He alone is the hope of any enduring society upon earth. Where men do not know Bethlehem's babe they rave and rage and strive. The angels proclaimed peace on earth, and so shall it be to those who know and receive this Babe. For what is it like where Jesus Christ is not? What is theworld if not a perfect hell with nothing but lying, cheating, gluttony, guzzling, lechery, brawling, and murder. That is the very Devil himself. There is no kindliness nor honor. No one is sure of another. One must be as distrustful of friends as of enemies, and sometimes more. This is the kingdom of the world where the Devil reigns and rules. But the angels show in their song that those who know and accept the Child Jesus not only give honor to God but treat their fellow men as if they were gods, with peaceable demeanor, glad to help and counsel any man.     Is Election Conditioned on Being Weak and Unwise? | Responding to an Arminian View of 1st Corinthians 1:27-29 | ep. 16

I have copied the text from the post below: "Calvinists: God's choice is unconditional. 1 Corinthians 1:27–29: “God chose what is weak in the world to shame the strong; God chose what is low and despised in the world.” Those are conditions.     How Fallen Man Is Totally Unable to Merit God's Grace | Choice vs. Chosen in the NT | CWJC ep. 15

    One of the most humbling truths in the Bible is the teaching that all men are born fallen in Adam. The biblical picture of what it means to be spiritually dead in that condition is one of inability, one of being an enemy, and one of wandering into sin as lost sheep. In other words, we do not seek God, far from it, we seek sin. But it is through God's love that His grace powerfully and effectually changes us in a moment through the preaching of the Gospel, whereby faith is bestowed as a gift.Related to this biblical anthropology is the topic of whether or not the word "choice" should be used of humans, or of only Jesus Christ, and why translations render the word Eklektos differently in certain passages when referring to either Jesus or humans.     Why Try to Be Saved if Election is True? | Reddit User Question on r/Calvinism | ep. 14

    In this episode, I answer the following Reddit question from a Biblical perspective on Election: "Hello, I was introduced to Calvinism a few years ago. Right now, I'm currently unsaved whereas wrath is my final destination. My question is: if salvation is based on who is the elect, is there really any reason to worry since it is all in the hands of God? I mean because no matter what you do, it has nothing to do with what you do therefore your fate is not in your hands. I ask because though I am struggling to get saved, if I'm not the elect then I'm going to hell regardless therefore why continue trying to get saved? God has picked his chosen people whom he will save and who he will not. Is it not up to us. Someone clarify please. Still learning."     Breaking Down the John 6:44 Debate | White vs. Flowers | Coffee with John Calvin ep. 13

    In this video, I review the debate that James White and Leighton Flowers had on John 6:44 (which really ended up being a debate on John 6:45). I am more Reformed so I was already extremely biased in White's direction, and after reviewing the debate more thoroughly, I still feel like White's position is much more easily defended from the text they were actually debating.     The Unregenerate Mind and The Martyrdom of Charlie Kirk (A Calvinist Perspective) | ep. 12

    In this episode, I look at Scripture pertaining to three areas: (1) the unregenerate mind of unbelievers, (2) God's divine plan amidst horrific evils, and (3) the necessity of declaring the Gospel so that God can work through it to save elect sinners. It is hard for us as Christians to process school shootings and assassinations, and many other horrific events in the world, but we must always know that they happen in accordance with God's plan, and He is working them out for the good of His children, and is working through His children to bring the living, abiding, and regenerative Word to lost sinners, the enemies of God.
