Watch Influencer Brynn Wallner explains how a new generation is buying watches
Brynn Wallner represents a new and important generation of watch influencers who, in a relatively short time has made a big impact. Brynn has opened a fun and exciting world sharing images of celebrities, and particularly women showing how they wear their watches on her Instagram and website @dimepiece.co.
Brynn’s introduction to watches started when she was working in Sotheby’s marketing department writing content for the watch department, but the experience was short-lived as the pandemic hit and with it went her job. Fortunately for the watch world, her time at Sotheby’s ignited the realization that watch social media was disproportionately masculine and she set forth to change that. Most importantly, she brought humanity to the watch world meaning that she understood that the person wearing the watch, and how the watch fits into their lifestyle is just as important as the watch itself. Consequently, wrists shots of watches are accompanied by the person wearing the watch. The person wears the watch, not the watch wears the person.
In addition to her social media activities, including her own podcast series “Killing Time’, Brynn has smartly leveraged her watch observations into paid partnerships with, among others, eBay and The RealReal and she curates’ vintage and pre-owned watch collections for sale on her own website with @foundwell.
Brynn speaks candidly with Tania Edwards about her entry into the watch world, what she has learnt so far, and where she sees the industry going, especially for women's watches. -

Jaclyn Li discusses how in only a few years she has become a serious Patek collector
John Reardon talks to Jaclyn Li a collector, intellectual, influencer and someone incredibly knowledgeable about all things Patek Philippe. Still in her early 20s, Jaclyn is the youngest person we have interviewed on the Collectability Podcast, but she is already an accomplished and impressive collector beyond her years. Jaclyn is currently a senior at Harvard College, studying Economics and Psychology, and yet still finds time to be a host on the popular watch podcast series The Waiting List. Her successful Instagram account @a.dose.of.time offers her many followers an intriguing insight into her own collection and passion for the world of mechanical watches, especially vintage. Her first watch was a Rolex 6234 Pre-Daytona, and since then, she’s fallen head-over-heels over the idea of curation with intention – how one should focus less on the finding of watches, but more on the matching of meaning. Jaclyn was born in China and raised in Canada.
In this lively discussion, John and Jaclyn discuss her love for Patek, her favorite pieces and offers listeners an insight into a brilliant collecting mind.

Watch auction veteran Daryn Schnipper discusses her long and storied career at Sotheby's
In this lively and personal interview, John Reardon talks with his first boss and mentor in the auction world, Daryn Schnipper. Daryn started her career at Sotheby's in 1980 straight out of college, and today is the chairman of the International Watch Division. For over 40 years, she has built an exceptional career and at one time, every watch department head of the top auction houses trained under Daryn's tutelage. Daryn was an early pioneer of wristwatches as a new collecting category and organized the first dedicated wristwatch auctions. Under her leadership, watch sales expanded in Geneva, and in 1997 she opened Sotheby's first Asian watch department in Hong Kong. Daryn has played a pivotal role in the sale of numerous important single owner watch and clock collections. These include the now iconic 1999 auction of the masterpieces from the Time Museum in which the Patek Philippe Graves Supercomplication hammered for USD11 million, a significant world record for any timepiece at auction at the time. In 2012, Daryn sold the horological collection of her friend and former colleague George Daniels for USD14 million. Among her many accolades, in 2017 Daryn was made a Liveryman of the Worshipful Company of Clockmakers, the oldest horological guild in the world.

Pamela Cloutier shares her memories of working at Patek Philippe
For over 14-years, Pamela Cloutier was Patek Philippe's Area Director of the Americas, Asia & Pacific Rim -- in other words she was responsible for a major portion of the world's most important watch markets. In this intimate and fascinating conversation, Pamela describes what it was like to work closely with Philippe Stern during the pivotal 1990s and 2000s. This was an important period when Philippe Stern made his mark on the modern history of Patek Philippe by introducing new movements such as the innovative small complications like the Annual Calendar and Travel Time; building a new state-of-the-art workshop in the then little-known area of Plans-les-Ouates; launching a new ad campaign that 26 years later is still running; opening the world’s most important private watch museum, and growing international markets to an unprecedented level -- to name but a few important and extraordinary benchmarks. Pamela shares her memories and experiences of this exciting time including some personal details that will intrigue listeners such as the fact that even if you work for Patek -- or own the company -- you still have to wait for a watch!
With over 30 years of senior management experience in the watch industry, Pamela Cloutier has a wealth of knowledge about fine watches. Prior to joining Patek Philippe, her career in the watch industry began with Dior Watches. Following her influential time at Patek Philippe Pamela became Chief Operating Officer of deGrisogono, then started Ralph Lauren’s prestigious entry into the watch and jewelry world as VP International Sales & Distribution. Pamela is currently Managing Partner and oversees International Sales and Distribution at GENUS watches. Collectability co-founder Tania Edwards had the pleasure of speaking with her long-time friend and Patek Philippe colleague from Pamela's hometown of Geneva.

Hooked on Horology
Looking to consume all things horological, and this was the perfect addition. From the minute repeater intro, to the very end, I’ve been hooked on every episode. Very well done.
Fantastic
Great content, John is the ultimate Patek Nerd - compliment, but he is approachable and his content has great entertainment and educational content - I learned something from all the interviews, and instigated for searching for me afterwards. Hopefully the series become weekly soon. Cheers
Brilliant Content on Patek Philippe
Collectability is a fantastic platform for all things Patek Philippe related. John Reardon is not only incredibly enthusiastic and passionate about the history, but he is extremely generous in sharing his knowledge. Very excited to hear more from Carlos, as he is a wealth of knowledge and seems to be curating a brilliant watch podcast.
