According to the CDC, a conservative estimate shows that more than 5M mTBI are reported and diagnosed every year due to sports, work and motor vehicle accidents. Although targeted therapies address specific cognitive / physical symptoms, the ultimate effectiveness of these therapies is dependent on ones attitude towards the therapy, and their ability to mitigate their anxiety / fears associated with their personal situation and injury. This illustrates the need for the person to understand their role in the rehab process and be able to control their symptoms. It is possible to love life again.
