Connect + Create is a show about untangling the messy reality of running an online business. I’m Emily Banks, a designer and digital experience integrator who’s spent the last decade working behind the scenes with online businesses — and if there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that very little stays neatly in its own box. Design affects the tech. The tech affects the customer experience. A new offer creates thirty seven other jobs. And somehow, even with a team, half of it still seems to land back with the founder. On the show, I talk about what it actually takes to make all of that work together — from design, content and launches to systems, customer experience, and the endless creative workload that comes with an established business.
