    We lead pretty charmed lives, but we all have a bad day every once in a while, right? We tried to talk about some of our bad experiences, but turns out we're bad at talking about bad stuff.     Get Sloshed: Waterbeds, late-to-the game band appreciation, ear worms, and summer plans

    Are you ready for the summer? The Connect More crew sure is! Concerts, baseball, and unpacking boxes are all in the works, but be sure you don't miss the excitement of a high-adventure camping trip in Oklahoma! You heard me. Oklahoma. Who doesn't love a good sand candle, amirite? In this age of streaming, with every song ever made instantly at our fingertips, what bands are we just now discovering or appreciating? Who didn't we fully appreciate "back in the day?" On the flip side...are there any bands that we LOVED as kids that are now a bit cringe? Hey, kids: Did you know that waterbeds were once a thing? That's right. In the '70s - '80s millions of people were bamboozled into thinking they'd get a good night's sleep on a giant, heavy, sloshing sack of water that needed special sheets, a massive frame, and its own heater. Whether we had one ourselves, or we inherited it from a girlfriend (or soon-to-be ex-girlfriend), we would all sleep better if this whole trend had never happened. We finally squeeze in a good ol' fashioned whiparound by discussing our latest ear worm (or ear wig?) You know, those songs that get stuck in your head and YOU JUST CAN'T MAKE IT STOP!!!     For this (not so) shortie episode we got a Listener Mail voice memo from Amanda (who needs to contribute to the swear jar BTW). She asked for the story behind how we all met and became best buddies. How did we crack the code and figure out how friends can stay connected over distance and time? It was a blast reminiscing about the early days of our friendship and hopefully we can provide some inspiration for you all to re-connect with old friends. We can even help you plan a Spritzer Party if that will get your gang back together! This episode is a bit longer, so it won't be over until Ween catches John in the world's slowest game of freeze tag.

    New Hope or No Hope? OG Star Wars fans discuss the future of the franchise

    After the tone, we leave some messages about how voicemail fits into our day-to-day communications. Spoiler alert: We hate it. Don't leave your name and number. Just send a text. We've been pushed to the edge, cocked and ready. 😏 We were eight years old when Star Wars premiered in 1977, the perfect age to become super-fans for life. The toys, the t-shirts, the posters, the branded school supplies - we were in for it ALL. But how are we feeling about the franchise after almost 50 years? "The Mandalorian & Grogu" dropped a few weeks ago. Is Star Wars in good hands? We wax nostalgic about our favorite moments and lament some of the missteps. It's been such a huge part of our lives that we probably could have talked about this for two hours. But we didn't. Most dudes we know are creatures of habit. We put our keys and wallet in the same place every day. We order the same things at restaurants. We wear basically the same outfit all the time. Are we keeping life simple and minimizing the choices we need to make every day... or are we just boring? Maybe a little bit of both? Summer is here, so it's time for baseball and fairs! We whip around with the best choices for festival and ballpark foods. Grab some Rolaids and join the fun!

    Our PRUducer can't get enough of our great ideas & advice, so she lobs us another question: "If you could make anything into law, what would it be?" We've got a lot of beefs and plenty of ideas to make things right. Speed limits, pepper shakers, fast food etiquette, and social media vague-posting all get some attention. Remember that one time when Jocó ran for LTGOV? He was >this close to making some of these ideas into real laws!! This is a quick one, so give it a listen. It will be over before Ween gets his Flamin' Hot 5-layer Baja chalupa-rito at the drive-thru window.

    Saturday Night's Alright: Our favorite SNL moments

    Summer is upon us. What are the Connect More boys doing besides listening to the corn grow? Sounds like baseball, beers, gardening, farmer's market, and jogging in the woods are all in the works. Put on your shades and join the fun! We got a fantastic Listener Mail voice note from Becky! She's a huge Saturday Night Live fan and wanted to hear about our favorite sketches and characters. From the earliest days of SNL in the '70s right up to the present day, we find the SNL moments that have burrowed their way deep into pop culture. From "Landshark!" to "I'm On a Boat!" we cover almost every decade of SNL goodness. We're Connect More, and you're not. Are you working hard or hardly working? Either way, you'll need this advice about interviewing and hiring that we've learned over the years. If your favorite scene in "Office Space" is when Peter gets interviewed by the Bobs, this segment is for you. Because you demanded it, we go back to an old favorite for the whiparound: fake band names! It never gets old. Or maybe it does. Hit us up in the comments!

    Because she can't get enough of our timeless wisdom, our producer occasionally lobs us a question. This week she asks, "We need more days off work. If you could create a federal holiday, what would it be? " We're always looking for an excuse to escape work, so we come up with some pretty good ideas. Some of these holidays would even encourage people to (gasp!) connect more with their loved ones! Didn't see that one coming! What day do you think we should get off from work and school?     Connect More Live! Later, Late Show...

    Steven Colbert's Late Show ends tomorrow. Seeing David Letterman on his show last week chucking chairs from the rooftop of the Ed Sullivan Theater was a crashing tidal wave of nostalgia, so we felt like we needed a session to connect and commiserate about the ending of an era. We hopped on a live stream and speculated about the future of late night TV, snacked on some Almost Famous popcorn, lamented the sad state of TV journalism and network TV in general. Even Aaron Rodgers got a call-out. Screw that guy.
