The Sisters are particularly devoted to Mary under the title Our Lady of Mercy, and have a deep emphasis on redemption.     Franciscan Friars of the Atonement: Br. Paolo, SA

    Br. Paolo joins us directly from Assisi, Italy, where St. Francis lived and founded the Order of Friars Minor. Founded to promote unity within the Church, the order wasn't originally a Catholic congregation, but rather converted later! St. Vincent made it possible for women of all classes could serve out in the world, where they make yearly vows on the Feast of the Annunciation.     Cistercian Nuns: Sr. Marie-Pierre O.Cist.

    An early monastic "order", the Cistercians were founded from a group of Benedictines who sought to reform the discipline of the community. Continuing to follow the Rule of St. Benedict, the nuns daily commit themselves to Ora et Labora-- prayer and work--through traditional Liturgy of the Hours and supportive work (in the case of Sr. Marie-Pierre's community, the making of alter bread).  Interested in learning more about the community?
