Favorite Pod

This is truly one of my favorite, never-miss-an-episode, podcasts.

As someone who loves to run/ride/yoga/etc. but is in their mid-late 30's, with a job and children, I have not thought of myself as "an athlete" since high school. I started listening to this podcast a year ago when Molly was a guest on the Trail Running Womens podcast, and she sounded so smart, hip and accessible that I was immediately intrigued. Then last summer, I attended my first women's cyclocross clinic and the leader encouraged everyone to check out the Consummate Athlete podcast.

After over a year of tuning in weekly, I am a full fledged fan girl. I feel more confident in my goals, more able to refer to myself as an athlete, and more inspired to try new sports (in January I started Mountain Biking after getting a tibial stress fracture from marathon training).

As a tangential sidenote, I also enjoy the relationship dynamic between Molly and Peter, who host the podcast together (and are also married). When they do intros, they sometimes disagree on topics or points -- but disagree in such a refreshingly healthy yet genuine way. Respectfully disagreeing with your partner is an art and these two seem to have it down.

Hope anyone interested in cycling, running, women's health, or healthy marital dynamics checks them out!
