One of the best Christian podcasts out there.

This podcast is full of so many Gospel-centered, grace-filled, and helpful conversations for any Christian who has experienced hurt on their spiritual journey. While I didn’t grow up in an authoritarian fundamentalist home, this podcast has pointed out some ways my faith growing up was influenced by some of those harmful ideas. These conversations have helped turn my heart back to the beauty and freedom of what being a believer in Jesus really means. And I feel better equipped to identify spiritual abuse and control now. Thanks, Rachel and Joe!

Love the content and the personal stories

Great content. Rare and honest discussions on difficult topics that are usually avoided. Hearing the personal stories are healing.

Suggestions: Fix audio levels. Sometimes I have to turn volume up or down depending who’s speaking.

Sarcasm. I love it. Stick it to the patriarchy. It helps expose the absurdity. However on the latest interview, it seemed to be excessive and take away from the interviewee’s story.

Exposing lies with the real Gospel

A hard, candid look at many Christian teachings that have been warped by controlling or abusive leaders.
Always biblical and always kind, Rachel and Joe’s conversations bravely shed light into some very dark places. They come by their convictions honestly, and stay away from cliches and tribalism.
