He helped lead Maysville to the 1978 state tournament. After playing at Austin Peay State University and Georgetown College, Myrick joined the U.S. Air Force.

Carl Bouldin, a native of Germantown, played baseball and basketball at the University of Cincinnati. He was co-captain of the Bearcats' first national champion basketball team in 1961, and is a member of the UC Hall of Fame. He was drafted by the Cincinnati Royals, but chose baseball over basketball and pitched for the Washington Senators.
