    State of the PropTech Venture Capital Industry

    July 26, 2022 - CoreNet Global’s NYC PropTech Committee presents a panel of Venture Capital professionals (VC's) who will share insights about the latest technological innovations and investments in PropTech. The discussion will focus on the state of the PropTech venture capital industry today, including how current turbulent market conditions are impacting investing. Speaker #1: Diana Swenton is the Senior Investment Associate at Suffolk Technologies, where she uncovers and leads diligence and investments into early-stage construction and real estate startups. Diana’s background includes operating roles across enterprise tech in data science, sales operations, and marketing, and most recently venture capital investment team at Dell Technologies Capital. Speaker #2: Safi Aziz is a Director on the Innovation Services team at MetaProp where he provides innovation consulting, corporate venture, and development services for MetaProp’s corporate partners across the commercial real estate, construction, and services industries. His work has earned him Connect Media’s Next Generation Award in 2020. Speaker #3: Michelle is a Principal at OMERS Ventures where she is responsible for researching and executing on investment opportunities in PropTech. She’s particularly interested in opportunities around democratizing home ownership, increasing transparency across the real estate transaction and automating workflows.
