Conversation 66: Learning how to communicate with Lisa Beth Lentini Walker and Stef Tschida

I loved the concept of the Portfolio Lifestyle and did some deep digging into it, finding numerous articles including this one.

Okay so I researched Problemtunity and of course found this video from Lisa Beth.

The book by Lisa Beth and Stef is Raise your Game, Not Your Voice

The six types of stories that we discussed are:

    1)  Rags to Riches

    2)  Riches to Rags

    3)  Man in a Hole – a fall and then a rise

    4)  Icarus – a rise and then a fall

    5)  Cinderella

    6)  Oedipus – a fall and then a rise and then a fall

Well, I guess I did hear the name of the book earlier but clearly forgot!

    Going Shopping with Rick Neuman

Rick told us about Canadian Tire, a chain I was completely unfamiliar with.

Grocery Gateway was the expensive online grocery chain that Rick talked about.

Rick works at Flipp which he explains at length.  He told me that they are a great app to download before you start planning for Black Friday sales too.

Go to Getflipp.com to download it or go to flipp.com for the web based version.

Conversation 63: A "Fan"tastic Conversation with Jesse Cole

My “fan”tastic conversation with Jesse Cole

We discussed 10 Ideas a Day, which I first learned about from James Altucher.

Jesse mentioned Seth Godin’s quote on What is Remarkable? “Something worth talking about."

Jesse mentioned a quote by Henry Ford about faster horses.

Jesse was excited about the 2022 Banana Ball World Tour. I hope to make it to a game.

I mentioned having my legal team read “Delivering Happiness” by Tony Hsieh

Jesse talked about dropping shipping charges and building fans by reducing “friction points”. I had an amazing experience ordering a t-shirt from the Savannah Bananas. (Check out social media for more about this).

Jesse mentioned Jeff Bezos being terrified of his customers.

Jesse also mentioned the history of Grayson Stadium

Jesse favorite moments included the Breakdancing First Base Coach and the player introducing himself.

Jesse wrote Find Your Yellow Tux but doesn’t want to tell you to buy it.

He is currently reading The Long Game by Dorie Clark and Blitzscaling by Reid Hoffman to juxtapose two competing ideas.
