The Box

Karlie Noon is the first Indigenous student to obtain a Masters of Astronomy and Advanced Astrophysics, and is currently doing a PhD in Astronomy at the Australian National University. Corey Tutt is the CEO of Deadly Science, a charity that provides science books and early reading material to remote schools in Australia. Our Cosmic hosts have accomplished STEMM careers. But the path to their success was littered with obstacles. For a long time I’ve been wanting to hear the voices of indigenous astronomers speak out about Mauna Kea and you all did it. Also liked hearing the stories of how deal with colonial culture in the STEM journey.

When I think back to cosmic vertigo I have a great fondness for learning. Now I feel like I’m listening to gossiping high schooler who only know tiktok. Like omg. I couldn’t make it through the first full podcast without having to stop and listen to something else. Maybe I’ll try again in another 3 years…

This show is so goo! It's definitley mind-blowing boiling down a lot of the technical language so that people can understand. I really enjoy their metaphors.
