With the state of the world, it's hard to remain optimistic and hopeful but this is a reminder to ourselves first and foremost - always remember to have faith in Allah. Everything happens for a reason, good or bad, we just have to do our best to continue to have faith and move forward.     HAPPY THURSDAY COUSINS!!!! Welcome back to another brand new episode! Lots going on in the world (as usual) and you know we do our best to talk about the major events. The U$@ is definitely going a little crazy (we're looking at you Orange Man...you did this!). If you didn't think so before, it's very clear now that it is not safe for anyone who lives in or is visiting the South of the border. But despite that...we're still talking about it and potentially risking our security lol but we trust in Allah so we'll be fine. Amir also covered the verse of the week and we spoke about being humble and having patience during tough times and understanding that the hardships and good times are all temporary; what remains is our faith in Allah. As we're now within the last 10 days, we want to remind ourselves first that we should try our best to do as many good deeds to really take advantage of the multiplied rewards during Ramadan and the chance at catching Laylatul Qadr (may Allah accept our fasts, du'ahs and prayers - Aameen!).     HAPPY THURSDAY COUSINS!!!! Welcome back to another brand new episode! Listen...we know consistency hasn't been our strong suit recently, but we're trying okay?! Anyways, we're back and playing a little bit of catch up with yall! How's your Ramadan going? We're now officially in the last 10 days, time to lock in everybody! We ask that Allah grants us all the strength and ability to perform our obligations and extra acts of worship and that He accepts our du'ahs, fasts and prayers. This week we spoke about feeling unmotivated during Ramadan and how to navigate through those feelings, we also discussed our different iftar routines -- what does yours look like? We also touched on the fact that Ramadan is trending on social media again this year and while we have our thoughts, we're not trying to take a stab at anyone in particular, so don't even try it lol. On the bright side, Ramadan is being recognized and normalized which can be seen as a good thing so a win is a win lol...next step...making Eid an actual holiday from work/school! We also discussed the Qur'an verse of the week -- if you've got one, please share in the comments! And we ended off the episode by talking about Trump's tariff war and how to be a conscious consumer.     HAPPY THURSDAY COUSINS!!!! Welcome back to another brand new episode! (the last one before Ramadan!!!!) So listen, we have some explaining to do... We recorded for about an hour and a half on Sunday only to realize that our camera wasn't actually recording so we were only able to capture the audio. That being said, Amir (our editing and creative genius) decided to repurpose the unused vlog footage from our travels last year to make the video component a liiiiittle more interesting for our viewers (listeners-- yall aren't impacted this week lol).
