Cranium Shorts

Since there (at this point) only four 5-star ratings, it’s obvious that the four members of the podcast team all rated it 5-stars. I wanted to be the first to offer a 4-star review, so that they would have something to strive for. The concept is good, but it will needs some polish to have sustainability, something that will come eventually with practice and repetition, if they have the dedication. A pair of “young-ish” couples exploring relevant issues - some topical to the times and some timeless, is a good premise. If they are solidly anchored in their opinions and stances on the topic du jour, and can articulate those positions clearly, while allowing for alternative opinions, they can, and will, attract attention. With two couples, who are obviously very good friends, they bring a representation of four different backgrounds and experiences, as well as the commonality of their times together as spouses and and as best friends. The diversity of their origins as well as unity from their merging together as “besties” at some point provides a good platform for discussions that can be informative, educational, entertaining, and possibly even persuasive. Good podcasts don’t just happen. I hope that this team will make the effort to plan and execute well thought-through topics and not just “turn on the mic and see what happens”. Finally, a small critique of the first two editions… alway keep in mind the idea that you are sitting together around a table with a vast array of diverse listeners on the periphery who are as equally engaged in your conversation as you are. We are not “out there”, we’re right there with you, listening, laughing, and crying, just as you are. Best of luck, I look forward to episode 100 expectantly!
