DJ Pufaz - One For Shoes Feat . Miles Bonny, Gury & Kubake

This project is for all of my People, artists, and friends who I cherish, and that I have supported over the years, buying their music, and attending their shows when they were in Europe, etc. Why am I doing this? It’s because I am tired of seeing my favorite artists pass away without getting their flowers. I’m tired of seeing people exploit their names by selling their records on Discogs for insanely high prices, making t-shirts without their permission, and profiting off of the hard work that so many of these artists have put in. It’s time for us to celebrate these Artists/People while they are still alive. My first pick is House Shoes. I love his taste in music, how he manages his Street Corner Music label, his brutal honesty on social media, and how he goes so hard on his never-ending twitch sessions. He’s a unique character to say the least. For this single, I worked with Miles Bonny and two well-known beatmakers from the Czech Republic. Gury is the drummer and beatmaker from a band called Champion Sound. Champion Sound has toured all over Europe with artists like Diamond D, Black Moon, Smif N Wessun, Bahamadia, etc. Then Kubake is a young beatmaker who released an album last year called Days of Our Lives and it was published on my Cream Sound label. Everybody loves Miles Bonny and I’ve been collaborating with him since 2012, It all started when we did his show with Brenk Sinatra in the Czech Republic, so for me, Miles was definitely the best choice for this track. This is the first single from the upcoming album “Why not now? Tomorrow could be too late” which will be released in 2023. about DJ Pufaz: DJ, record label owner, writer, radio host, and podcaster from Prague. Born in Czechoslovakia (The Czech Republic from 1992). He fell in love with music after The Velvet revolution (1989) when the border was finally opened after 40 years and everything was new including music. His first DJ gig was in 2000. During the years working for the biggest Eastern Europe hip-hop festival called Hip Hop Kemp, printed mag BBarak which was the prime mover of the hip-hop scene. After that, he managed some music groups and release their music. Since 2006 he has been running a website called cream.cz which makes during the years good name around the world through interviews and articles. In 2013, he started a label called Cream Sound which is focused on Czech beatmakers. Cream Sound is also his radio show on Czech FM radio. After more than 20 years in this game, he decided to make this project. Why? Pufaz - Don't Skip (Vinyl Session) (Zažít Město Jinak 2022 : Phono.cz)

Každý podzim ožívají ulice v jednotlivých městech v rámci akce Zažít město jinak. A já již tradičně mám svojí hodinku v rámci Phono.cz v Opatovické. Tento rok nepřálo počasí, ale nakonec se to vybralo a vše proběhlo skoro dle očekávání. A přiznám se, že z vinylů hraju pouze jednou za rok a vždy je to dilema, které desky vytáhnout ven a lehce jim dát zabrat. Jsou prostě desky, který si nechcete kurvit, pokud si je nekupujete primárně na hraní v klubech. Zároveň hraní je vždy o náladě a zrovna jsem vybral tyto desky a vím, že příště bych to udělal úplně jinak. Proto to je takový, jaký to je, ale ne pokaždé se zadaří. DoomCannon - Times feat. Pufaz - Don't Skip (Vinyl Session) (Phono.cz Special)

V sobotu 15.9.2018 proběhla akce Mega výprodej gramofonových desek v pražském Phono.cz. Skvělá akce, plno lidí, super hudba a super káva. Zde opětovně nahrán set, který tam zazněl. A i tam bylo zahráno v myšlence Don't Skip, což znamená, že dané věci hrají pokud možno celé, jelikož mám pocit, že je dnes vše tak rychlé a uspěchané, že na chvíli se zastavit a vychutnat si celou věc pomalu mizí. A i proto tam jsou některé tracky záměrně dané tak, že např. na beatu Round & Round se člověk může m*dat 10 minut a i když je ro roku 2001, tak strašně pořád nakládá. Zároveň některé skladby jsou koncipované tak, že kdybyste si dali jen minutu, tak se strašně okradete. Okradete o tu kompozici a gradaci jako např. u Sly5thave - I’d Rather Be With You feat. Melisa McMillan. Tohle porostě nejde po minutě urvat a skrze sirénu poslat další věc. Teda aspoň u mně.
